Always travel insurance. But other than that I didn’t take any more precautions when I went to Fiji than I would have taken if I had gone to America or europe
I think regardless, you should always take out travel insurance. Its only about a hundred bucks, depending on where and how long you are gone for, WELL worth the cost.
A can highly recommend FIJI as it is as safe as travelling around Australia. If you are taking kids with you, I don’t think I would recommend Bali unless you are travelling away from the tourist strip. Pick a different Indonesian island like Bintan which is a ferry ride from Singapore. No injections required.
We’ve been to Fiji a couple of times and as we were staying in a resort there was no need for any vaccinations. If you are staying or visiting a village and you were going to drink the local water then you would need to take precautions.
Firstly visit your GP to see if there are any vaccines that need to be updated.. Just to help ward off unwanted illnesses that can be prevented.. Then stay safe and have fun..
