  • I think an age appropriate toy would be a good idea.

  • Educational toys – look at things they will use in the next 12 or so months

  • Hope you worked it out. Kids do not know what is going on at that age so you would not have needed much.

  • clothes rattles bath toys cute rugs

  • how’d you go finding a gift

  • The first Christmas is sort of the only one you can do what you want to… from then on it is toys toys toys really.

  • What did she end up getting for Christmas?

  • Clothes, jumperoo, teething toys, blanket

  • Soft toys, or light up toys that make music

  • I think there are two ways to go. First is a keepsake present that she won’t appreciate now but may like the sentiment once she is older (you can get Christmas baubles for first Christmas which are a good keepsake). Second is something that will be useful now like age appropriate toys (you’ll know whether they like texture toys, music toys etc), clothes and the like. My daughter was seven months for her first Christmas and she got toys: walkers, rocking elephant, soft toys, books etc

  • What about a little silver bracelet that you can have engraved as a keepsake.

  • Mine always loved the wrapping paper. Some good ideas below though.

  • What about a small keepsake toy, teddy or the like that she can still play with and then you can keep as she grows up then give it back to her and tell her it was her first ever christmas present.

  • I agree with adriennetraynor their more interested in wrapping paper

  • Don’t worry too much about gifts. Your baby will be more interested in the box or wrapping rather than the gift.

  • I’m sure you’ll find something great. I always use the mid year toy sales to layby all my kids christmas pressies, I let them look through the catalogues and show me things they like, then I decide whether or not they’ll still be suitable in 6 months time. Just an idea for when she’s a bit older :)

  • Not a good idea but all they want is a box and wrapping paper at that age lol

  • Soft toys would make a good gift

  • A lot of great choices A big teddy bear would be a good idea

  • My daughter was just over 6 months old last Christmas! I got her quite a few educational toys (love the Lamaze range) and she also got a playpen from her Pop Pop which was a lovely and very practical gift!
A jolly jumper could be another idea if you don’t already have one or maybe something nice for her room…
There are plenty of choices out there and I’m sure by the time Christmas comes around you’ll end up with a whole stack of goodies for her :)
