  • hang a small patchwork quilt .. especially helps to make room cosy if tends to get cold! (homemade even better for a personalized touch!)

  • the space above the bed is the one spot you won’t see when you are lying in bed, so why bother? It ‘s like putting a tattoo on your back, you’ll see it less than anyone else! Good in that you wont get bored of it as quickly perhaps…. but why not but a picture up when you can enjoy it from comfort?
I’m afraid dream catchers are my pet hate – they scream naff, but that’s only my opinion, everyone is different, and how boring would it be if we all liked the same thing?! Whatever you put up, make sure if it is something you value, that it isnt in strong sunlight which will fade everything fast(even in frames).

  • A painting (or print) that you really love.

  • I have a dream catcher in the same colours as my room’s colour scheme. Looks nice.

  • Even a favourite photo of a special holiday destination is nice above a bed.

  • A favourite art work is always nice above a bed.

  • Photo frames or art are always good options for some creativity and to liven up empty space. Landscape photography or other calming images may suit your bedroom. Having at least one blank wall in the bedroom may also be a good idea so when you are tired or need a break there is a blank wall to look at.

  • I put matching prints either side of the bed head just didn’t like something directly over it

  • I have a gorgeous large Dreamcatcher above my bed, that way I can decorate the rest of the bedroom form any colour in the catcher.

  • Art is always nice to make a statement in a room. A great looking picture is good as well above the bed.

  • I would go with a big beautiful print! There are some stunning prints available online. otherwise I am loving the look where there is a feature wall behind the bed using wooden slats

  • You could make that one wall a feature wall with either a different colour paint or wallpaper; a horizontal mirror will give more depth to the room and make it look/feel bigger; a tapestry/rug/fabric would add texture; a huge piece of artwork would be dramatic; a shelf with photos/inspirational framed prints or plants; a large dreamcatcher; there are so many ways to utilise that blank space to add a special feeling to a room.
