  • My 12 yr old does Little atletics, a free community program

  • We hibernate a bit in winter, though indoor swimming and tae kwondo continue.

  • Used to be netball but not anymore.

  • Winters my chance to be lazy and snuggle on the couch watching movies. Too cold for me lol

  • Yes trampoline centre and the indoor pool complex is good!

  • yes many indoor options available- heated pools etc

  • I do love walking and outdoor obstacle courses, but it can be a bit chilly. Would like an indoor alternative.

  • My family does karate. Doesn’t matter what the weather is I also love the fact that I dont need to get up early on weekends to do sports. I do karate with my kids as well. We train at home as a family and love it.

  • I’ve done an indoor soccer team before. You payed $10 a game but I think it t was actually a rounded price and we each contributed. So fun. Indoor netball too. I’m not a fan of the cold so preferred indoor!

  • we love the trampoline centre and the indoor pool complex…. also, rug up and take a soccer ball to a park or beach, it is great fun

  • Don’t play a team sport but certainly walk/bushwalk as often in winter as in summer. Love getting rugged up as opposed to summer exercise. And walking is free! Guess you could count the cost of having to drive somewhere to bushwalk as a cost but the actual walk is free.

  • Play both! Outdoor touch during winter was cold but once you got running it was great! $10 a week

  • I play indoor Netball and although most weeks I dread getting there…..I absolutely love it once I’m there. We pay $85 for a term so it’s just over $8 a week.

  • Buggeritliz – Indoor Ice Skating sounds like good fun – is it expensive?

  • We joined a indoor Ice-Skating program and in the past we have played indoor soccer and netball and basketball. We have tried Squash that was fun we only paid when we played. Around $10. We also swam more at the local RSL POOL.

  • I just go out walking every day. I’ve got my daily goal to reach 10.000 steps, and it’s quite easy to achieve.

  • I don’t really play sport but my boys play football (Aussie Rules) and I like to swim. Footy is not very expensive as just pay a registration fee at the start of the season. Swimming is about $5 entry for me.
