I find these stories of ghosts so interesting.

My daughter has had a couple of premonitions – things that have come true.

I was staying at my mother in laws. My partner and his mum had gone out, I was left alone with our kids, aged 1 and 4 at the time. They were both asleep, I was watching tv when I heard someone calling out to me. I went and checked the kids, both sound asleep. Still haven’t worked out who was calling me

Spookiest thing ever happened to me was when I was 18 or so and walked to my flat after I had done a night shift in the hospital. A car passed by and the man stepped out and started following me. I started running and so did he. He grabbed me and assaulted me and threatened to strangle me. Somehow I escaped when the light of a car went through the street, ran and hid in the bush for the rest of the night. It impacted me for years.

Walking through the Port Arthur Historic Site at might by myself. Not sure what was actually real and what was my mind playing tricks on me, but hooley dooley, did I full on freak out!

I saw a “boogie man” when I was about 7, a large dark figure hovering above my bed. I still remember it like it just happened. I screamed for my parents but they were at the other end of the house with the telly on. When my dad finally came it was gone. It was laughing at me, and even when I had my head under the covers I could hear it. I wasn’t dreaming!

Seeing a outline of a man standing at my doorway when I was 7 years old…..neally 30 years later I still remember.

As a kid we moved into this old Queenslander. I always slept with my door open. I think I was about 8 at the time. Anyway, I was asleep and woke up startled for some odd reason. I looked out my bedroom door to see if anyone was there, and I saw this ghost of an old man, I closed my eyes and opened them again and he was still there. I asked him to go away at which he then looked very sad, bowed his head and walked off. Never saw him again.

Oh wow. The night before my father in law passed away, i turned on the baby monitor in my daughter’s room. I was tired so decided to head to bed early so turned everything on n asked hubby to put bub in her cot. I went to lie down and heard music coming from baby monitor. I went to check her bedroom and there was no music playing in her room. Needless to say we were very spooked turned off baby monitor and let bub sleep with us that night

Being at my mother in laws one night. It was just me and my 2 kids, aged 8 months and 3 years. They were in bed asleep, I was sitting in the kitchen having a coffee when I heard someone calling me up the passage. I ignored it at first, but ended up investigating. No one was there :0 scarey. My mother in law told me afterwards about the ‘visitor’ that would cone and sit on her bed. She could feel the pressure of someone sitting down, but no one was there.

My son has a habit of yelling out “don’t crash mummy!” Randomly when I’m driving. I like to think I’m a good, safe driver and I’ve never had a crash so i have no idea when it came from. Freaks me out every time.

these stories are very creepy!

My 5 year old son has started describing seeing a shadow in his doorway at night. I have seen it too but only when sleeping in that room and then only on occasion. I have also seen a small shadow and heard footsteps next to my bed and thought it was my 8 year old (who was around 5 at the time). Told him to get into bed with me, only to try and move over and discover that he was already there. Also have seen a shadow and footsteps around my bedroom door, which could possibly be the same one my now 5 year old sees, I’m not sure but it looked and sounded like it was pacing in front of our three bedrooms and sticking it’s head in the doors to check on us maybe?

My Mother died 4 years ago after being in a high dependency nursing situation fot 8 weeks. I no longer live in the same house that we lived in as a family, but on occasions just recently I would swear she was talking to me when I was asleep. I woke up and though there was somebody standing in the doorway to my bedroom.
When I was a small child we stayed at a relative’s place on a farm. I slept under the window which I had never done before and had a nightmare that somebody was coming in through the window above me and I woke half the household up. Although I have never slept under a window since, I have had the same “dream” a few times over the last few years and can actually visualise what the guy looked like – tall and skinny with curly hair.

My son talking to a picture of my grandparents and calling them by the name I called them. He never knew them (unfortunately). Then he would look up and point at the picture. He was 18 months old when this happened. I asked who he was talking to and he looked at me as if to say “Can’t you see who I’m talking to?” I just looked at him and who he thought he was talking to and said “Oh, well, sorry to interrupt. Hope you are both well.” and off he went talking again. It’s actually comforting if anything.

My husband works away in the mines and one night in the first week we were in our house i was asleep in bed and as usual around 1-2am my 3 year old son came into my bed half asleep i rolled over to face him and quickly tucked him in and put my arm over him giving him a cuddle. A few moments later i felt a mans hand grab my hand and hold it!!! I quickly fully woke up and pulled my hand away and for a minute had to realise that my husband wasn’t there so it wasn’t his hand… I lay there petrified trying not to make a sound wondering if whatever and whoever it was was still there??!! I spoke to my husband about it the next day and he said maybe it was his Pa who passed away 10 months earlier and he was looking over the kids and i because he knew we were on our own! I’m not sure what happened but it scared the daylights out of me and i hope if there is someone in our house that it never gets touchy feely ever again!!!
