Some preschool have a long waiting list in which case it’s wise to put your child’s name down as early as possible. My experience however is that there are plenty of preschools around where you pretty much can start directly if needed.
It depends on what you are referring to as preschool – my son does daycare up until he starts prep (the year he starts 5) that is the first year of compulsory schooling in Qld. I would suggest if the type of school you want is in high demand enrol early. Other wise if it is compulsory schooling look into it ASAP as some areas are zoned so you may want to move to get “the one”
It depends if the preschool is in high demand. I know of people that have done it as soon as their baby turned 3. I forgot all about doing it for my eldest and put the forms in November and she got into the one i wanted for the next year. Maybe ring the centre and just ask them if they are high demand. It wouldnt hurt to put the forms in as soon as you know which preschool you prefer.
