Hello!

Like most mums we buy for the kids and the family first and forget about ourselves. It’s a part of nuturing. I try to at least buy myself something nice for each of my childs milestones. I do it this way as getting past those milestones is not only an achievement for the child but the parents also. Spending countless hours in looking after children. Yes they would do it anyway. Just think of all the strengths that the parent went out the way for to achieve this. Eg. The childs first steps. Walking up and down waiting and helping the child achieve.

  • I am bad at this! I will often walk into a shop for me and end up walking out with something for someone else :/ I enjoy knitting and have been buying wool lately, but I’m knitting things for others, does this count? If not, I cannot remember the last time I bought something for me

  • A few weeks ago I bought a dress for a night out. First night out since having baby

  • I bought something really lovely the other day when I was at Allenstown in Rockhampton. We had just said goodbye to my 2 sons and passed the Rockman’s store. They had a rack of tops outside the store and I saw this gorgeous top , cold shoulder they call it] in an original and one only print of purple, green , navy and another colour with a lovely neckline and a little bit of silver bling on it and it was priced at $69.95 . when I went to pay for it the sales lady said oh that is now only $10. That made my day. What a bargain!!

  • Today!!! Well, kind of. I bought some pink wool so I can knit some baby things for some friends. So……. Not really fir me was it? Although I will enjoy the knitting

  • Christmas time I spent money I got from my mum on an iPad! Otherwise last week I bought a new pair of work shoes… ;)

  • A chocolate bar at the checkout.

  • This is a great idea. I like to try and make do with what I have and save my money but I might get something for myself at her next birthday.
