  • We currently have NETFLIX, but we swap between them quite often depending on what looks good at the times. On school holidays we usually go for Disney plus!

  • I have Netflix which I love as there are no ads, it has subtitles on every show which I require because of hearing impairment.

  • We’ve just bought a little box thing from eBay that enables us to watch more shows then are available on Stan, Netflix and Presto combined. Haven’t set it up yet, but should be good

  • My family has been using and loves Netflix (especially the exclusives) but I’m also interested in trying Stan because there’s a lot on there I want to see too.

  • Try presto, we got a free 6 month trial

  • I have presto at the moment (which is a derivative of Foxtel) but have heard good things about netflix.

  • Netflix all the way – haven’t heard of the other however

  • I swap from one to the other. Thats the beauty of them. No contract means as soon as you are sick of one you can schedule it not to resubscribe at the end of the month and switch. Personally though I prefer Netflix. I find the content on Stan boring and being a Marvel fan Netflix has more to offer (Daredevil, Jessica Jones for eg)

Also Season 3 of Peaky Blinders & Season 2 of Outlander will be Netflix exclusive. Can I just say though I think Australian television has some answering for. People wouldnt resort to VPNS and “other” means of activity to get their television if we werent light years behind. its ridiculous!

  • I like stan because it has more exclusive shows.

  • I dont have one yet as im still happy with free to air tv, there is so much choice now there are extra channels to choose from.. But once the kids are a little older we would might have to get it so they can keep with the times…

  • Netflix is cheap and there are plenty of programs to choose from. They’re also adding more content all of the time so I think it’s really good value for money.

  • cool, they are much the same I find, prob going to use netflix as its included in our internet data

  • Do not pay for TV, but there seem to be a lot of deals.

  • I have Netflix but I guess it depends on their offering. You may prefer the programs available on one format over the other.

  • Take advantage of the 30 day free trials, they all have them & it’s well worth it. We discovered that Netflix was our favourite & seems best for kids, so we now subscribe to it. We also found Stan to be our second favourite.

  • We have Presto and Netflix. When we had Presto for the free introductory period, new watched it heaps. Now we are paying for it, we don’t seem to use it at all. And I gave never used Netflix

  • We had 6 months of free Presto and I admit we watched it very little. Most of my favourite series are with Netflix and not with Presto for example.

  • Thanks for the info Sarah93. I too was wondering which service is better.

  • We had Foxtel also, but had it cut off and subscribed to Stan, Netflix and Presto. It worked out to around the same price we were paying for Foxtel, but we had a wider range to watch and could choose when we wanted to watch things.
The only downside is if you watch a lot of the American shows, I’ve found them to be quite behind with seasons, especially Netflix.
