Hints and tips like….

1. Storing a red onion with a cut avocado stops it going brown.

2. Wrapping the top of a banana stops it ripening.

Cleaning inside of the oven door with baking soda, hot water and a scrunched up ball on tin foil to scrub the glass, and surrounding then wipe down with a clean damp cloth and it comes up crystal clear

That would be a brilliant addition to this site. I knew the wrapping the banana stalks to prolong their life, wrap in foil separately….pic already do that. But I hadn’t heard the avocado one. I usually spray it with cooking oil and wrap in piaster…..it still Browns :/ Now I know what to do 🙂

I think it’s a great idea. The hints and tips page could have sub headings like the Answers page – cleaning tips; baby tips; cooking tips; gardening tips etc.

Think this would be a great idea. Would be good if like with like tips and time savers, could be kept together. That’s the always trying to keep things organised, and decluttering, nagging gene talking.
