Hello!

There are sooo many wrinkle creams etc on the market I am extremely confused as to which one to buy. Any mums out there have any recommendations for me? Please help- I can’t afford to waste any money on something that doesn’t work.

  • Just a cheap glycerin moisturiser.

  • I stick to the Olay products – they are affordable and seem to work well.

  • I find for eye creams that you don need to pay more and use a good skincare brand, such as Lancome or Chanel.

  • I mix sorbolene cream and sunblock cream together and rub onto my skin. It’s cheap and seems to work.

  • none – we all get old, and none of that crap works – my gf used to buy for Channel, and I have a friend who is a dermatologist, and they both say it is just a money making market

  • I watched The Checkout on the ABC and it said that with many expensive lotions you were paying for the perfume, packaging and brand. I use the ALDI brand. It has the same active ingredients for a fraction of the price. I just make sure I have SPF 15 plus in it. It is not necessarily a replacement for sunscreen but is better than nothing.

  • olay is a great product!

  • There are so many out there a lot of companies have samples that you can buy – Avon has a 100% money back guarantee so at least that’s something to think about.

  • Try dermalogica product. Hope it can help you.

  • none of them work but use sunscreen that does work

  • there are so many out there, Trilogy is a good brand

  • I think this you will have to trial each cream for yourself until you find one that suits your skin and your needs.

  • I’d recommend any of the products by an Australian company called Rubifresh. They make organic products, and if you contact the owner (Tristan) and ask her for recommendations, I know that she’ll help you. They also have samples that they send to people, so that you can try the products before you buy. And they aren’t hideously expensive either.

  • Akin rosehip oil! its excellent!

  • I used avon for a while but now, twice a day I just use sorbolene (Redwin). It is cheap and fabulous. I have even had people tell me I look 10 years younger than what I am (I did not tell them how old I am). Made me feel great for the rest of the day. I really don’t have many wrinkles. Try it.

  • I am a big fan of Coconut oil & rosehip oil. As a Mum in her mid 40’s I find soap / cleansers / toners , ect dry out the skin too much – I slather coconut oil on my face than wipe off with a warm wash cloth. I put a few drops of pure rosehip oil on my face before applying a moisturizer ( I also like Aldi Lacura products – or – Moo Goo , which you can buy from most heath food stores). I also use coconut oil for a body moisturizer (smells great too !) & once a week apply some to my hair ends – leave on for 1/2 hour before shampooing out – a brilliant deep conditioner. I’ve also heard Mums use this on baby’s bottoms instead of nappy creams (my kids are long out of nappies otherwise I would definitely have a go !)

  • I think its really hard to say as everyones skin is different.
Depending on what issues you have and what age you are will depend on what products will suit you best.
Also it depends what price range you are looking at and how much time you have to spend on caring for your skin.
I think firstly you need to establish what skin type you have and then buy products that suit that skin type.
The supermarkets have a great range of products available now.
You could also go to places like priceline or myers and ask for samples of products to test before you buy.

  • I use Garnier BB Cream has powerful Anti-Aging properties. This is all-in-1 skincare to reduce the look of wrinkles, firm skin, even tone, and hydrate for 24hours. I also have been taking evening primrose oil tablets for over 20 years and it shows. I get lots of complements on how lovely my skin is. I believe feeding your skin on the inside. The cream is available at Coles, Big W, Woolworths, Priceline for about $12. (same for evening primrose oil)
