Ever accidentally said something in front of the kids you shouldn’t have?

They remember! Jimmy Kimmel asks kids on the street what the worst thing they’ve heard their mum say is. The results are hilarious!

  • Isnt it amazing that the kids know that they shouldnt say these words and they actually had to be pushed to say them.

  • LOL. Yes, they are quick to pick up the words you don’t want them to remember – and they always say those ones perfectly!

  • Oh yes, always be careful with what you say and do as we as parents are the most important example to our children.

  • haha….got to love kids.
Many years ago we were all finally seated in the crowded Pizza hutt for dinner when Miss 3 was obviously thinking on how her Dad had become angry as we were trying to find a park and a guy had cut him off and pinched the park we had been aiming for which resulted in Dad having a few words to say. In a very loud voice Miss 3 said “Daddy what does Wanker mean?”…. He quickly hushed her and her older sister and I tried hard to stifle our giggles as did several other diners. Miss 3 would not be hushed and persisted loudly “Tell me what Wanker means”….in the end he whispered to her that it means someone was an idiot. Happy with that she hushed and we ate our meal without further incident. Until a week or so later when a shop keeper gave my husband the wrong change so her returned to point out what had happened and Miss 3 unfazed informed the shop keeper that he was a Wanker. This thankfully taught Dad to be very, very careful what he said around the children.

  • Kids really do pick up what you say. My youngest has started really copying me so I have to bite my tongue more now with less bad words than the “f” word, but still.

  • A friend of mine has a habit of saying “oh crap!” when something goes wrong. Miss 3 1/2 dropped something on the floor last week. Her Mum heard a bang and to see what had happened only to hear her say exactly as she had heard her say a few days before. A few days later they were at my place and she spilt her drink. Before her Mum or I noticed she ran up to me and said “I’m so sorry”. I had to asked her what she was sorry about as I had no idea.
