I can’t remember the name of the song or many of the words.
There is one that is about the moon shining at night.
The singer doesn’t sing the words very clearly and it really sounds like “the bathroom’s on the right”, so that’s what I sung when I was little, much to a relative’s disgust.

As a kid my mum used to play Mike Oldfield a fair bit. I thought the lyrics “he got shot six times by a man on the run” in his song Moonlight Shadow was “he got shot six times by the man in the moon”!
Wasn’t til mum played her cd again one day when I was older that the correct lyrics actually sunk in.

When my sister was younger she would swing on the swing in the backyard singing loudly to roxettes dressed for success- “gonna get dressed for some sex” lol! Wonder what the neighbours thought..

I thought the “I’ve got a long list of ex lovers” line in Taylor swifts blank space was “all the hungry Starbucks lovers”

I think we all have misheard lyrics at some point in time. My stepson (13) thinks “jitterbug” is “potato bug”.

Ha too funny – my son always refers to The Little Mermaid as The Little Wormaid, and his ear lobes as his ear globes LOL

Justin Timberlake – instead of go ahead be gone with it, my sister thought it said ‘go hippy go’.

Eiffel 65 – Blue – I’m blue if I were green I would die (I think many thought they were the lyrics hehe)

I’m always getting the lyrics wrong, the kids think its hilarious.

We had many laughs about it at work.

I often hum along to songs because I’m too afraid to sing and get the words wrong, then have the kids correct me. There are some funny mistakes made with song lyrics.

I was one of the people who thought taylor swifts song blank space said: lonely Starbucks lovers when it actually says got a long list of ex-lovers lol i didn’t even notice until it was noted on the internet that lots of people thought the same thing

Instead of singing voodoo child my daughter used to sing doodoo chat. We still laugh at her to this day lol
