Eating outside can be great, except for the annoying flies. There is a solution though, make your own easy and cheap fly traps and kill those pesky flies without fly spray.

DIY fly trap

What you’ll need:

• Soft drink bottle
• Tape
• Old fruit

Method:

1. Cut the top 1/3 of your bottle off.
2. Place some old fruit in the bottom of your bottle.
3. Put the top back on but upside down and tape in place.
4. Put outside to attract the flies, they go in but they can’t fly back out.

I have some in our backyard and it works wonderfully to get rid of flies.

I found if you place the bottles in the sun, it will attract more flies. You could reuse the bottles and clean it out but I just throw mine out and make a new one.
