I remember loving just playing as a child. I think the resources need to be there, and to an extent, children need to be taught how to play, but I don’t see why they shouldn’t be allowed to be bored so that they have opportunities to come up with their own stuff.

Broadly I agree, though age does come into it.

Most parents would already know this – out of boredom comes creativity, invention and great ideas.

Absolutely agree. Kids that are used to stay alone, find things to do to keep themselves entertained. And they are not bored.

I think we all can easily fall into this trap and feel guilty , the more we try to entertain the more they ask for attention

Its really great for kids to be bored and learn how to entertain themselves.
