Hello!

We didn’t got to McDonalds often as kids, but when we did we always ordered a Happy Meal. And yes, it was mostly always for the toys. You can imagine our excitement at seeing that McDonalds is bringing back a range of toys that we can fondly remember from our childhood.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is getting a little Happy Meal twist, in the shape of a treat for our kids (and our inner kid too!). McDonalds announced this week, in celebration of the newly released movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy, fans will be able to collect 14 limited-edition Happy Meal toys from today.

The new Happy Meal Toys will be ‘featuring LeBron James and all your favourite Looney Tunes characters dribbling, dunking and showing off their basketball skills’ according to their press release. If you loved Looney Tunes growing up, there’s a good chance that you’re going to love these.

They’re also adding in a new, healthy twist to their Happy Meal menus, Carrot Sticks will also be available from Thursday 22nd July, and will be stable on the menu. Bugs Bunny would certainly approve, right? Each serve of Carrot Sticks equals one serve of vegetables.

We love a carrot stick, so we’re not mad about this news! We’d love if they introduced brie and crackers too, but we’ll wait.

As you take a little outing to break up the daily grind of lockdown (lunch break, anyone) you’ll be able to start collecting these Space Jam toys from today, until 8th September.

Do these toys bring back the 90’s feels for you too? Personally we loved the Muppet Toys that came with Happy Meals back in the day. Remember those?

  • It’s always for the toy ???? but these didn’t bring back 90s memories, mullet babies and the original Maccas characters like hamburgler would have been amazing

  • I never went to McDonalds when I was young. I wonder how it would look if I went in and bought myself a happy meal. Could always say I’m just getting to know my inner child.

  • Yeah they’re very 90s and cute but do we really need any more cheap junk? Especially stuff made from plastic? Correct me if I’m wrong but they don’t look biodegradable and any happy meal toy I’ve ever seen is literally only played with on the day and then left forgotten at the bottom of the toy box. We need to be more conscious of the impact we’re having on the environment!
