Article Missy Higgins Reveals Truth Behind Duchess Meghan’s Due Date Slip

With the news last month that Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry are expecting a baby, royal fans have been wondering exactly when the baby is due. Singer, Missy Higgins, may have the answer….

Last month we shared the exciting news of another royal baby and the only indication Kensington Palace had provided of when Meghan is due to give birth was that it is in the UK’s Spring 2019, which could be anytime from April to June next year.

But Australian singer Missy Higgins, who met Meghan and Harry in Sydney on their royal tour,  let slip exactly how far along the Duchess of Sussex is in her pregnancy. Or so we thought.

After meeting the royal couple Missy took to Instagram to share her excitement posting:

“What an honour to meet the beautiful Duchess today! She was such a sweetheart. I said I felt sorry for her having to do all these meet-and-greets while 4 months pregnant! What a trooper.

“Prince Harry was gorgeous too, a real charmer. He squeezed Luna’s legs and said “who’s this little cutie?” Looking forward to telling Luna she slept through it all one day.”

Missy has since shared what really happened

During an appearance on yesterday’s episode of The Project, Missy clarified her comment, admitting: ‘I just made it up.’

‘I read somewhere that people had worked out she was three-to-four months pregnant because she said she was due in the (northern) Spring.’

She explained that she wrote the caption ‘without even thinking’, before seeing the post in headlines across Australia, the UK and the USA, shares Daily Mail.

‘I just thought everyone knows she’s about four months pregnant.

‘We weren’t hanging out and she wasn’t telling me her deepest secrets,’ Ms Higgins added.

  • It doesn’t really matter when she is due. She will be scrutinised daily and we will know every intimate detail. Let them have something, please. I am so excited for them both.

  • When the Palace shared she had her 12wk scan already, then missy higgens reveals not much different. I’ve no need to know her duedate. The baby will come when it’s ready indeed and we’re all excited for them.

  • The palace announced that Meghan has had her 12 week scan already and that is all they say, they don’t announce a due date

  • I’m thinking the same thing unless Meghan accidentally said something when asked.
    I very much doubt the pregnancy would have been announced before 12 weeks unless she is having severe morning sickness which cause her to cancel appearances.
