A US mum-of-three snapped a photo of her boys following a ‘fishing trip’, without noticing the funny moment.

Marika Daniels had taken her sons out for the day to a children’s museum with a pretend fishing pond.

The three boys each caught a rubber fish, and Daniels took the opportunity to share the sweet moment with her followers on Instagram.

However, while she was busily coaxing her eldest sons to look at the camera, she didn’t notice her youngest boy, Landon, had shoved the lifelike fish into his mouth while the other two proudly held theirs up.

“When I took the picture, I honestly didn’t realise Landon put the fish in his mouth because I was trying to get the attention of the two older ones,” Daniels told Fox4.

“I just kind of chuckled and shook my head and thought, ‘Oh Landon.’”

The photo was swiftly turned into a meme and shared across multiple Facebook meme pages, attracting thousands of likes and shares. It’s since been captioned: “Every family has one.”

Daniels says she never expected a picture of her sons’ antics to attract so much attention, however is humbled by how many “likes, shares, smiles and laughs this picture has brought to so many people already.”
