A mum has rewarded her toddler with a fabulously over-the-top Potty Training Party, to celebrate the end of her nappy days.

Kia Matthews had promised her two-year-old daughter a party when she was fully toilet trained, and true to her word she pulled together a poo-themed celebration in honour of the milestone.

Potty Training Party

It included lots of poo-related items, including balloons, cupcakes and a cake with a toilet.

“Tell me you’re an extra mum without telling me you’re an extra mum,” Kia captioned the video of the party.

@xokiamatthews Tell me you’re an extra mom without telling me you’re an extra mom???? #momsoftiktok #momtok #toddlermom #toddlermomlife #momlife #pottytraining #momtips #amazonfinds ♬ original sound – Hannah Brown

Her video was flooded with comments from other parents who loved the idea, and thought it was a great reward for parents as well as kids.

We love this idea too – what a great way to celebrate this milestone!

  • If the toddler is happy …then great!

  • I wouldn’t, but great motivation for a toddler to be toilet trained.

  • I’ve never thought of a potty training party. To be honest, it’s hard work, I’m too busy with the training to be thinking of partying

  • Umm, no thanks. I’ll pass on the poop cake.

  • A bit over the top.

  • What a fun way to celebrate her daughters achievement. I especially like her poop themed cup cakes.

  • Maybe a cake within family to help make things exciting for the child but a party is over the top in my opinion.

  • My daughters 11th birthday was Poop Emoji related. The kids loved it. Why not throw a party for getting out of nappies!

    • Lol yes I can imagine the kids loved it

  • The little cupcakes are rather fun.

  • It’s a little bit over the top, but I bet her toddler was very excited!

  • Why not celebrate the milestones?! She seems a fun mum

  • Yes I would. My youngest is trained for 1’s and we are currently working on 2’s.

  • 100% I would! My youngest is toilet trained for number 1’s but not number 2’s. I constantly try to encourage him and remain positive but hey whatever works, works!

  • If it works it works. So far 3 of my boys are toilet trained and the success and excitement of being toilet trained was enough for them!

  • Absolutely love this. I’m only 10 months into it and will be thrilled when he’s out of nappies.

  • I might do that once both my girls are trained. Let’s see what the cost will be first..
