Article Mum Throws Toddler Epic Potty Training Party

A mum has rewarded her toddler with a fabulously over-the-top Potty Training Party, to celebrate the end of her nappy days.

Kia Matthews had promised her two-year-old daughter a party when she was fully toilet trained, and true to her word she pulled together a poo-themed celebration in honour of the milestone.

It included lots of poo-related items, including balloons, cupcakes and a cake with a toilet.

Her video was flooded with comments from other parents who loved the idea, and thought it was a great reward for parents as well as kids.

We love this idea too – what a great way to celebrate this milestone!

  • haha well that is certainly something very different. What ever floats your boat I guess. I really dont think I have that much energy but if the bribes of a party work then go for it.

  • Whatever works and I’m sure her daughter loved her potty party but it’s not the method I would have chosen. It did take us a little longer to start but the timing never seemed right.. The party food is interesting, I don’t think I’d be able to eat any of it.

  • I love this idea for celebrating your child’s achievement of getting out of nappies. I’m not sure I would have thrown a party for my boys though. I never really had anything to do with toilet training because my boys would listen to their Dad because he knew better. Well according to them he did.

  • My daughters 11th birthday was Poop Emoji related. The kids loved it. Why not throw a party for getting out of nappies!

  • Yes I would. My youngest is trained for 1’s and we are currently working on 2’s.
