  • I really love that often the names on so many different lists for children are names that we chose for our children. It shows that names really do span different ages and trends and it is so wonderful for there to be so many wonderful and creative names for people.

  • It really is such a wonderful gift being able to choose a special name for a precious baby and it can have such a special meaning for parents to be. I love all names; traditional and modern and unique. Children really do grow into their precious and much loved names.

  • I love to see all these classic names making a come back. Sensible names that a child can live with. Being a big fan of genealogy I like to see people using family names through the generations. Using a family surname as a first name is a great way to go.

  • I am not sure whether I agree with some of the names on this list. I work with a lot of children and have only ever seen a few of these names on real life young children. I also do not agree with Evelyn being on the list as I have only ever seen that making a comeback in girl names.

  • I think I’d call some of these classic rather than old fashioned – but I guess that might be semantics. I do think you should also think about how kids at school will react. Some of these are fine, but I think some might attract a bit of teasing, so maybe avoid them.

  • There are some really beautiful names here. I love Fabian, Reuben, Silas. These are all names I had floated by my husband the first time around but he nixed each if them.

  • I really love reading these articles, a lot of these boys names are super cute and I love that names come around time and time again. i really like the name Monty, to me this sounds very old school but it is unique in this day and age and super cute.

  • These are some super cute names! My brother and SIL are currently pregnant with their second boy, I am not sure if they have a name picked out yet but In case they haven’t yet I a will forward them this list! I think Basil use such a cute name very whimsical but also dapper as the article says

  • Just loveee those classic boy names! They are classics and stand the test of time. I love that it grows with them and sound great when they mature and are older. I always think long term when choosing names for my kids, making sure it will grow with them as well !

  • I love old names. They are for me more serious and meaningful. I named my son Michael after my grandfather and his middle name is Andrii after my father which is Andrew in English. They both have deep meaning and are very powerful.

  • Personally I’m not really into old fashioned baby names for neither boys or girls. But I’m interested to know why the old fashioned names are having such a come back. It is nostalgy what people are seeking, maybe people are looking back on something from another era or they want to name their child after a loved one ?
