OMG This is What the Teletubbies "Sun Baby" Looks Like Now

Well I certainly feel super old now!

Jessica Smith was the adorable smiling baby who laughed along with Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po for all those years ago, but now she’s handing over her role to 18-month-old Berry from London.

A photo circulating of the pair on Twitter has many mistakenly thinking Berry was Jessica’s daughter.

Teletubbies took to their official Twitter page to clarify that the original sun baby has not had her own baby.

“After a photo of the original sun baby holding a baby made the rounds, Teletubbies clarified that the image was of the ‘original Sun Baby, Jess Smith, with our new Sun Baby, Berry’,” they wrote.

The image hasn’t stopped people from being shocked though, with many saying it’s making them feel very old.

TO CLARIFY WHEN I INITIALLY TWEETED THIS YESTERDAY I THOUGHT THIS WAS HER BABY. ITS NOT. THIS IS THE NEW BABY FOR THE REBOOT. IM SORRY YALL. IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE AND I WASNT TRYING TO SPREAD FAKE NEWS AT ALL.

ALSO. I DIDNT THINK THAT THIS WOULD GET SO OUT HAND/ BIG ????????

My son loved Teletubbies and I remember frantically trying to find any merch for his 1st birthday. It wasn’t such a thing then so I had to download some things from online and make my own stuff and laminate it. Then it got really big. They celebrated their 20th anniversary a couple of years ago.

I used to watch the Teletubbies with my boys and couldn’t wait for the Sun Baby to show up. Loved the giggle so, yes, I’m feeling ancient now seeing how grown up she is today.

I cannot stand Teletubbies, but for some reason babies and toddlers love it, how amazing that it has been so long since it first aired on TV.
