The secret underground network of ‘anti-vaxxer doctors helping HUNDREDS of families dodge compulsory immunisations’

Authorities are investigating a secret cell of anti-vaccination doctors amid claims they are helping families dodge compulsory immunisation of their children, reports Daily Mail.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Victoria’s Health Department are looking into allegations that at least three Melbourne GPs are offering services to those against vaccinations, the Herald Sun reports.

They include Dr John Piesse, who works at the Natural Healing Centre in Mitcham, and was captured on camera bragging about helping hundreds of families avoid getting immunised.

At a screening of controversial documentary Vaxxed earlier this month, Dr Piesse railed against ‘no jab no play’ regulations on childcare and ‘no jab no pay’ rules on family assistance payments.

He was filmed telling attendees that doctors can get around both and the clip was subsequently posted on an anti-vaccination Facebook page. They have helped over 600 families already!

‘I am a doctor who has been working hard for 18 months to try and help parents get exemption from ‘vaccinated pain for vaccinated play,’ with mixed success,’ he claimed.

‘I want you to know it is possible to get the exemption so there is hope,’ he told the crowd.

He explained that they needed a doctor’s letter of ‘contrary indication’ – provided the GP has the qualifications required for ‘no vax no play’ or is a registered medical practitioner for ‘no vax no play.’

‘It is deeply disappointing and concerning that after 12 months an investigation into Dr Piesse’s practice has not yet been concluded by AHPRA. It’s not good enough,’ he told the Herald Sun.

“By failing to vaccinate their children, parents are putting their kids and others in our community at risk of terrible diseases or death”

Does this raise alarm bells for you?

  • What a dangerous man this doctor is! Sadly I bet there are more out there helping undermine the vaccination message. He should face serious consequences.

  • get vaccinated! it’s for your child’s benefit and the community’s benefit. I would hate for my kid to get a disease that could be so easily prevented

  • Not exactly very good role models are they. Shameful.

  • How can this doctor keep practicing. I understand that some children can’t be vaccinated due to their immune systems, but why should everyone have to suffer just because some don’t want to vaccinate their children.

  • Thuis is why the idea that you need to give everyone with an opinion on a matter equal weighting. You don’t. There is absolutely no reason not to vaccinate in most cases.

  • This just makes me so angry.

  • Do hope this doctor gets thrown out of the AMA – he should not be able to practice if he keeps peddling false information.

  • Back in the late 1980s some schools were asking if children had been vaccinated. I have seen the side effects of children who have migrated here from Europe who have had Polio. They develop more problems from it when they get older too. It is dangerous enough people at high risk of catching flu can’t have the vaccination if they are highly allergic to eggs. Parents should have to provide Immunization records for children to attend any type of childcare or pre-school.

  • Where’s the AMA’s stance on this? Oh wait, covering their own butts as usual.

  • I fear for thoes kids who are at very high risk now ???? I completely agree with the no jab not play system!
Let’s hope they close the loophole.

  • There are so many kids out there who are being protected by those vaccinated ones. I hope they hurry up and get rid of this loop hole.

  • No it does not raise alarm bells, but what does is the lengths that the government and public will go in trying to stop people questioning the ingredients and effects on vaccinations which are causing some babies and children to be sicker. The whole system needs to be reviewed and to stop hounding those who are taking steps to question whether vaccinations are really working or causing more problems. More research needs to be done that is not funded by pharmaceutical companies that will hide and twist research for their benefit. ‘The truth about vaccines’ is online now to view.

    • I totally agree with you ! What does raise alarm to me as well is that a different opinion is really not respected and tolerated.

      • I’m sorry, but you have obviously never spend any time nursing children who are suffering from preventable childhood diseases like measles, chicken pox etc. If you have had to hold a child while they gasp for breath and are screaming in pain and distress every minute of the day, you might think twice about the need for immunisations. It is true that some children have reactions, but that is the same for everything in life – for nuts, dairy, for fabric softener. It doesn’t mean that there is some evil overload trying to poison our children.

  • It raises alarm bells that it is taking so long to look into this matter and this doctor’s practice.

  • Absolutely irresponsible. He should be deregistered. I REALIZE THERE IS A VERY SMALL% of humans that cant be vaccinated for medical reasons but he is ignoring the greater majority..

    • Beautifully said . well done indeed.

  • I read the words ‘anti-vaxxer’ and so didn’t read any further. I did read an article in today’s paper. I prefer to not give air time or oxygen to anti-vaxxers and will always continue to spread the vaccination message.

  • At the risk of being on the receiving end of heaps of abuse… I would like to point out that there are SOME in the community whose lives are threatened by being vaccinated. NO, I am not referring to any link with autism etc, I am talking about the VERY REAL issue of taking a perfectly healthy child for his/her first immunisation and then within hours rushing them to hospital, where they are admitted to ICU and put on life support for days. This happened to me with two of my 3 children, the third child when it was time for him to be immunized was given his first vaccination (quarter dose) in the children’s hospital and he too reacted within an hour. As a result the Children’s Hospital refused to give them any further vaccinations.
This situation is not restricted to my family, I’ve since heard of many other families who’ve had similar experiences, yet we’re all tarred with the term “anti-vaxxers” when we’re not at all, we are parents who’ve nearly killed our children by taking them to be vaccinated. How about some research and development being done on the bases with which these vaccines are presented to the child? As far as I can determine, there has been no advancement on the actual bases (carrier), while the vaccines may be safe, the base/carrier that is used to deliver them is not!!!

    • Well said, one of my children had to go to our local hospital and have her immunisations in the HDU and remain there for 4 hours, then progress to the Paediatric unit for a further 6 hours if she didn’t have a reaction each time she had an immunisation – unlike most children who are immunised in 2 minutes (paperwork not included) then go home 15 minutes later. Until one of your own children has had anaphalaxis to an immunisation you cannot understand how difficult the decision to immunise is. I am fully immunised because for me it is nothing more than a sore arm for a couple of days and a slight temp.

  • Who or what do anti-vaxxers blame when their child has a medical issue? Especially one that could be prevented or severity reduced by vaccination. These diseases aren’t just dangerous to babies and are often more dangerous as you get older. Doctors disobeying the vaccination requirement should be struck off.

  • Here we go again…when are people going to stop being idiots? They’re going to bring us back to the 1800s.

  • This is appalling behaviour! So much for being a health CARE professional, so dangerous!

    • I imagine there is a code of conduct in place – would be interesting to know about the legal ramifications of a medical code.
