  • Nice rye bread

    3.5 out of 5

This bread is lovely but the shelf life I have found is really short. I also find sometimes when I buy the loaf of bread that it seems quite moist in the packet. It tastes lovely though and holds together well.

  • Healthy bread

This bread was delicious with butter and vegemite accompanied with my morning coffee. I probably wouldn’t purchase again as I prefer the seeds and grains one. The texture was thick and fluffy.

  • Ok Bread

This rye bread is ok but not my fav on the market. I prefer rye bread toasted with butter and a condiment to taste the best

  • Just Bought This Week

I purchased this bread this week because of a special offer which made the bread more affordable and I must say it’s great. A lovely texture and flavour and I would love to buy it again when it’s on special.

  • The only bread my kids will eat!

    5 out of 5

We love Abbott’s light rye bread and my family eats at least one loaf a day. My kids will not eat any other bread and my teenage boys demolish a loaf along with half a jar of peanut butter everyday after school.

  • Delicious, soft and fluffy bread - healthy too!

Recently was on an elimination diet and was not able to eat many things – this however was my given to for rye bread. I enjoyed it with fresh and toasted. As I was the only one eating it I also froze it and it remained fresh when defrosted! Not turning back to other options!

  • Better Than White Bread.

    5 out of 5

I decided to give Abbott’s Village Bakery Light Rye Bread a try about eight months ago while I was shopping in Woolworths, they keep a good range of Abbott’s Village Bakery Bread. Hubby wasn’t too keen when I arrived home with it as he’s a white bread fan. I bought it to make ham salad sandwiches, the bread is delicious. Hubby couldn’t tell much difference between this and white bread, except to say he’s a convert. It was so soft, not what I’d expected, we all love the taste and it’s a healthier option. While I still make the odd loaf of white bread in my bread maker, I’ll never buy off the shelf white bread again over this product. I’ve since tried another variety by the same maker and it’s fair to say, they know how to make great bread. I haven’t toasted it yet but I can say it stays just as fresh for many days.

  • Very nice.

Recently at our elders gym group l tried this lite Rye bread. I was really nice, not what l had expected. for years l wouldn’t consider anything other than white, and now wholemeal but never gave this a thought. We have a healthy lunch with sandwiches and fruit at the end of the session and have a catch up with everyone. I only found out on yesterday it was in fact Abbott’s Village Bakery Light Rye Bread though l had been eating it all term. Now l know what sort of bread it is l can actually go and buy some. i doesn’t leave me feeling bloated or sickly after my sandwiches too.
