A great use for leftover ingredients if you hate food waste this Big Mac Smash Taco Pizza is delicious and easy to make.

I used left over burger meat which had paprika, parsley, garlic and onion mixed in, or you could use any mince you want.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 Thin pizza base
  • 250g Ground beef
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Cheese
  • 1 Cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 2 TBS Burger Sauce

Method

  1. Spread mince over pizza base thinly.
  2. Place in frying pan meat side down for 5 mins.
  3. Flip in pan and spread cheese over beef.
  4. When base is crispy, remove from pan.
  5. Top with burger sauce and lettuce.

  • Ha ha! This sounds like the idea teenage dinner! My kids would definitely love this! All their favourites combined into one yummy meal! Thanks for sharing it! I’ll have to give this one a go when we do our next movie night! I might personally add some pickle to mine.

  • A very American recipie thats for sure.
Interesting to do this in a frying pan but with the meat side down first so im wondering how well the mince sticks to the pizza base. I feel it would be super messy to make but then again I could be surprised.

  • Hmmm… I don’t think this recipe would be for everyone… Lettuce on a pizza just seems so wrong! The ground beef and burger sauce does make sense though. But if you really want to make a burger pizza, it should include some pickles. Dominoes now does something similar. I would also cook it with the burger sauce swirl, rather than adding it cold.

  • I really appreciate recipes that use leftovers. Even better when they are quick and easy! I’m sure my kids would love this, and it’s fairly healthy for a pizza too (although home made pizza of any kind is not too bad anyway ). Thank you for the recipe and the idea.
