This simple tomato beef sauce has been a winner in my household for a long time. You may wish to add chilli or Parmesan cheese, and top with a basil leaf for presentation.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 500g beef mince
- 2 cloves diced garlic
- 2 diced onions
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- Splash worcestershire sauce
- Splash soy Sauce
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 basil stalks
- 500g spaghetti
- 2 bottles tomato passata
Method
- Place oil in deep saucepan, and heat. Add mince meat and stir until slightly browned.
- Add garlic and onion, and cook stirring occasionally.
- Add celery salt and pepper, tomato passata, sauces and basil. Bring to boil, stir, then simmer until reduced.
- Make sure you cook your pasta al dente and top with mince sauce minus the basil stalk.
