An easy cinnamon scroll recipe with a delicious hazelnut coffee twist.

The dough is also yeast-free you don’t have to wait for it to prove, meaning you can make them faster and enjoy them sooner!

Ingredients (makes 10 )

  • DOUGH
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 sachets Nescafe Hazelnut Latte
  • 1¼ cups thickened cream
  • FILLING
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 sachet Nescafe Hazelnut Latte
  • HAZELNUT LATTE GLAZE
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • 1 sachet Nescafe Hazelnut Latte
  • 2 tablespoons hot water

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Place flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and Nescafé Hazelnut Latte sachets into a bowl.
  3. Add the cream and stir until just combined.
  4. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth.
  5. Roll the dough into a 1cm thick, 20cm x 30cm rectangle.
  6. Combine brown and caster sugars plus cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Brush dough with the melted butter and sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over dough.
  8. Roll from longest side to form a log and cut into 8-10 equal scrolls.
  9. Place scrolls onto a lined baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
  10. Place on wire rack to cool and prepare the glaze.
  11. In a small bowl combine icing sugar, Nescafe Hazelnut Latte and hot water (add extra water one drop at a time if required) and stir until smooth.
  12. Pour glaze over scrolls and serve warm.

  • Oh my these do look and sound so very divine.
    The glaze is super easy to make and im sure will taste great for us coffee lovers. Just such a shame that my partner is not into coffee flavours but then again that would mena more for me so perhaps im winning

  • I’ve never made scrolls before but I keep seeing recipes for them around. I’ll have to try this one as I really liked cinnabun when I tried it and I didn’t think very much of scrolls before then!
