I made this cake for my husband who is on a diet control and wanted to have a flourless and sugar less cake.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 150 g Almond meal
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla essence

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Pre heat oven at 180 degree Celsius
  3. Lightly grease a pan and transfer the batter in the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked. Keep it in the pan until cool down and ready to slice. Eat it plain or decorate it as you like.

  • This is certainly different. I’m sure it would still be sweet enough with the addition of the honey and flourless cakes are usually really, really nice! Having no flour often makes the cake more moist and dense, but it will be a thinner, unrisen style of cake. Would be a great one for lunchboxes.
