We love go serve ours with fresh butter, an assortment of jams and whipped cream on top.
Ingredients (serves 12 | makes 12 Scones (depending on size cut out))
- 3 cups Self raising flour
- 1 cup Lemonade
- 1 cup Cream
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 220C. The oven needs to be pre-heated fully before starting to bake your scones. During this step, please also line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Put the flour in a medium bowl. Mix together the lemonade and cream, then pour it into the flour.
- With a dinner knife stir together just until the flour is mostly mixed in.
- Turn out onto a floured work surface. The dough may still be a little wet and sticky, thats ok. With floured hands, knead it gently a few times.
- Now it's time to roll out and cut your shapes out with a circle cookie cutter (or your desired shape). Once on lined baking tray, use some leftover cream and brush the tops of scones with the cream
- Bake the scones for around 12 to 15 minutes until they have risen and the tops are golden brown
- Once cooled down, serve with toppings of your choice and enjoy!!
