Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500g Pork Mince
  • 1 Egg (well beaten)
  • Plain Flour to bind if needed
  • Cooking Oil or Cooking Spray
  • Pinch of Olive Salt (Savannah Brand)

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine pork mince with the well beaten egg and olive salt.
  2. Add pain flour to bind more, if needed.
  3. Shape into patties on a lightly floured board. Should make approximately 6 patties.
  4. Pour enough oil into a pan to lightly coat the base and heat.
  5. Put patties into the pan when the oil is at the right temperature and cook till golden brown on both sides.
  6. Serve on a warm plate with the veggies of your choice.

Notes

These patties can be made into party size snacks, a nice little snack for guests. The patties also cook well on the barbecue Minced beef or chicken can be used if liked

  • Yum this looks great. I guess you could also make them into meatballs and put a sauce with them as well or just pop them onto the BBQ coming into the warmer months.

  • Very easy recipe but I do not like Pork might substitute it with chicken mince instead thanks again

    • That is a great idea sisterhoodd27 ! You may have to use a little more flour to bind the ingredients as chicken mince has a little bit more moisture in it. Enjoy. I am going to try this recipe with chicken mince soon.

  • never heard of olive salt, would make the difference, I use Rosemary with pork.

    • You can get the olive salt at most supermarkets I think. I am trying to get it at Romsey IGA. The brand name is Savannahs. You probably can find out more about it on their website on facebook.. I love using a little olive salt as it makes the flavour of foods just that little bit different.
