Ingredients (serves 8)

  • 1 whole Chicken
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup pepper
  • 1 cup Green beans
  • 1 cup Carrots

Method

  1. Marinate chicken for 12 hours with salt and pepper.
  2. Wash off excessive salt and pepper, steam in a pressure cooker for 1 hour.
  3. Add in beans and carrot after chicken is cooked and steam for a further 5 minutes.
  4. Serve with rice :)

  • Wow. I usually avoid salt – it’s really not great medically – and that is a LOT of salt. I bet it tastes good, but I think I’d be eating it thinking that every mouthful is lethal. And what are you mariating it with? Water? Just the salt and pepper? I’m uncertain.

  • Chicken and beans is the sort of meal I enjoy eating after the festive season. I light to eat light and healthy chicken meals after the heavier Christmas food.
