Ingredients

  • 500gram chicken mince
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbls Fine chopped coriander
  • 1 tbls sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds
  • olive oil for frying

Method

  1. In a bowl mix together chicken mince, breadcrumbs, coriander and sweet chilli sauce in a large bowl.
  2. Shape into patties. Put sesame seeds on a plate and dip each chicken patty into sesame seeds.
  3. Heat a fry pan to medium heat, add in a little olive oil and fry the chicken cakes for 4 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through.

  • These actually sound great. I’m not entirely sure about the chili sauce, but I imagine I could drop that if I needed to. Otherwise this sounds delicious and it’s a nice flexible dish – could be used for mains, or for a quick lunch or snack. Lunch box friendly too. Thanks.

  • If cooking for others you need to be careful. A lot of people nowadays seem to have sesame seed allergies.
