This spaghetti bolognaise  is a quick and easy mid week meal. Add some veggies if desired.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 rashers bacon
  • 500g lean mince
  • 1x420g can of tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsps tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tsps dried oregano
  • 400 g spaghetti, cooked and drained

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan. Add onion, garlic and bacon and cook for 3 mins.
  2. Add the mince and cook a further 5 mins or until well browned.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 mins. Stir occasionally. Serve with spaghetti. Garnish with Parmesan cheese.

  • I like to add a bit more veggies to my spaghetti

  • This might be a silly question, but I’m looking for homemade meals I can serve my 8 month old. Is a recipe cooked with red wine okay for him?


    • Personally I don’t use any alcohol in the meals I cook for my kids and my youngest is 8yrs old

    • yeah i love using leftovers in toasted sandwiches with some cheese. really stretches it out plus really cheap sandwiches
