  • Super surprised by this!

    I have to admit, I was seriously sceptical when I saw this in the store... But being a lifelong fan of Dettol Antiseptic, I decided to give it a go. I am officially a convert! I LOVE this stuff! Within minutes of applying it to, I'm embarrassed to admit, about twenty years worth of mould in my bathroom tiles, I was able to basically wipe it away! With very little elbow grease at all! I've tried so many different products that swore up and down and black and blue that they would get rid of the mould, but even with hours of scrubbing, that stuff seemed to be baked on forever! I still cannot get over how shiny my bathroom is now, just from this one product! It's a genuinely amazing spray, and I cannot recommend it enough. It smells fantastic, and isn't aggravating to sensitive skin, which is a huge bonus. I don't even need to wear gloves while using it! Get it, try it, you won't regret it.

  • Sparkling showers for those with septic tanks

    Living in a rural setting, I have long suffered with 'that corner of the shower' mould. We're reliant on limited tank water and are not able to put chemicals down the drain as that would really mess with our Septic system so my bathroom has been neglected. We also get a pink discolouration due to the untreated water.

    The Dettol Heathly Clean Bathroom Mould Remover has a thicker foam than many products and I was able to spray it on, leave it the recommended 5minutes and wipe it off before rinsing. A few pieces of paper towel in the bottom of the shower prevented any of the chemical going down the drain into our septic. Rinsing required minimal water and I was able to rinse my entire 900x1200 shower with just 4 jugs of water.

    After I sprayed the Dettol Heathly Clean Bathroom Mould Remover on, I was actually able to see it working. Tiles, grout, silicon, glass, metal - it all sparkled.

    I was so impressed with the effectiveness that I even sprayed some onto a piece of paper towel and patted it on a corner of painted wall in the bathroom where some mould was beginning to appear. Not only did it work fast, removing any sign of mould, it did no damage to the paint.

    The Dettol Heathly Clean Bathroom Mould Remover is a great product that I would recommend to others with Septic Systems and I will certainly be using again.

  • Lives up to the wonderful reputation set by Dettol products

    I was very impressed by Dettol Healthy Clean Bathroom Mould Remover. I have tried all of the other Dettol cleaning products & was so impressed that I have already switched to using those. This opportunity to try the Mould remover has motivated me to do the same with this product.

    Our shower is prone to mould so I thought this would be the ultimate test.   • FAST REMOVAL OF MOULD- GREAT PRODUCT!

    Great product! I found Dettol Bathroom Mould Cleaner to be fast and efficient at eliminating our mould in the bathroom, worked great on walls in our bedroom too.

    Our house gets damp so this is a great cleaner to get rid of unwanted mould and kill germs.

    The smell is better than most cleaners too, I hate that bleach smell so it was not too overpowering at all.

    The price is moderate but as it works well, I would definitely buy this again.

    Packaging is appealing and available online too at Woolworths which is handy for our family.

    I would definitely recommend this to family and friends, thanks for letting me trial this great product!

  • Top versatile product

    I got to trial this and was most impressed. Since I reviewed it a few weeks ago and ppsted my review I habe used it to get rid of mould on an old car we had to clean for my nieces formal. Her grandads old ford had been in the garage for 7 years and had heavy mould on the vinyl upholstery. I used the dettol on everything and it just wiped the mould away and refreshed it all so after that I moved our vinyl lounge away from the wall and found old heavy mould on the back and used dettol on that too and it brought it back to new. Had to use it twice on that but was magic.never damaged anything. So it has many uses. Ive since purchased another bottle and havnt had anything to use it on lol the bathroom lasts and lasts .i did it twice at first as the rental had heavy mould in the silicone but simce then I have used it once for upkeep. Good going dettol

    hey mums,

    due to winters, mould started accumulating on the walls where there's no direct sunshine. I decided to try dettol bathroom mould remover on those as well. And believe me, sure enough, the mould has been removed and the wall looks and smells fresh. I'm glad i bought this ! Highly recommended. Love it !

    I bought some of this after reading other reviews and I am amazed at how effective it was in my bathroom! My shower looks new, I used it on the window and glass, and even went and did the windows in the bedrooms where mould starts from the damp over winter!   • Fast and Low smell

    With a turn spray function is easy and safe to use. Easy to spray on the shower and leave for a few minutes. Excellent in removing mould with out hard scrubbing. Spray it in the hard to scrub spots of your shower and it works with ease. This product has a pleasant smell and does not take your breath away like some on the market.     I have used this mould remover for quite some time now. There are places in the house which are far from the sun's direct light. Dettol's formula is quite effective and easy to use. I have used his on walls in my kitchen, bathroom, and even lounge.

  • It really works

    I have to admit to being skeptical that this worked as well as others had described but after giving it a go am pleasantly surprised. Our second shower is for my farmer husband who is often covered in diesel & grease & leaves a film of grime in the shower, so this was a real test. After a few goes at it I am seeing great results now.

  • Late to the mark

    I really wish that I had discovered this product earlier. I attacked the shower earlier this month with vinegar spray. That has nothing on this product. It really is very powerful, easily removing mold from the walls. I find that hte chemical smell is rather over powering though, so I could only clean a little at a time.

    I was not chosen to review this product but have bought it before on special. The mould remover is effective on tough mould, though I still needed to scrub more than I would have liked. In the spry bottle it is quite easy to use. I am not sure about the smell though.

    I was a bit skeptical when buying as I have tried different mould removers in the past. Well, I was quietly surprised. It actually worked. I sprayed it on, and low and behold it actually works. I wasn't overpowered by the smell (but certainly wouldn't go around sniffing it).   • Good on mould

    We have a lot of mould that builds quickly in our bathrooms. For this reason we have to use quite a strong product to remove it quite often. Dettol is a great brand and I have used this product before. I have found that it doesn't an adequate job. It doesn't remove all the mould as quickly as other products I have used but it still does a decent job and I would use it again in the future especially if the product was on sale!

    Yes I did find Dettol Healthy Clean Bathroom Mould Remover vanished the mould but sadly after time the mould did return. I found this product worked as well as many other mould removers but the disadvantage with this one is the price. I found that a certain no name product worked just as well. The Dettol Healthy Clean Bathroom Mould Remover did have a nicer and fresher smell to it though.. but for me I would much prefer good old bi-carb and vinegar and if you are really serious about mould removal old fashion oil of cloves is the best.

    The humidity where we live can be frustrating and the dampness causes mould so we struggle with our bathroom and other parts of the house. This was easy to use and definitely worked better on the mould than other things we've used in the past. I'm going to try it out on some other problem areas now, although I did note that there are many materials that it can't be used on.

    I would love to review Dettol Healthy Clean Bathroom Mould Remover as I am asthmatic as well as being anaphylaxis to any strong scents - household cleaners as well as any other perfumes smells - so using bleach or exit mould are not an option for me, therefore as my bathroom is small, dark, & over 100yrs old & gets mould on walls, windows as well as around bath/shower weekly I need to scrub with a scrub brush, water & a natural unscented multi-purpose cleaning spray which is hard work for me as I'm disabled & I have limited movement & walk with sticks(Canadian crutches) now.

    I'm a huge fan of the dettol products! Using a product that you can spray and walk away makes cleaning so much easier! My whole shower is done in tiles, so it makes it hard to clean - Who really wants to spend hours every day scrubbing tiles?!

    Unlike other mould removal products the smell is not overpowering that you have to open everything window in the house and turn exhaust fans on! Easy to use trigger nozel on the bottle makes spraying the product so much easier!

  • Much better than any other product I have tried

    I used this thinking it would just be another product that did not live up to its claims on the bottle. However I was rather surprised. I used it in my Ensuite, main Bathroom and as suggested in my bin. I thought the results were quite good compared to other products that I have tried. It does not have a really strong poisonous odour like most.

  • Shiny clean bathroom

    This product is so perfect for everything in the bathroom and toilet. I have used it to wash the sinks, shower, bath, toilet, shelves and the walls, even mirrors sometimes and it works wonderfully on everything!!     I love the dettol range, but im unhappy with this product, i have a stubborn mold in grout in shower and used dettol bathroom mold remover and was unhappy with product, i believe its a good cleaner for soap scum and buildup but not for mould, generally love dettol and there vast range of products but not this one

    We've been using the Dettol Healthy Clean Bathroom Mould Remover for quite a while now and find it works a treat in the shower. I spray it on and leave it for a few minutes then with a chux give

  • Fantastic Bathroom Mould Remover

    I was amazed when I used this product as it genuinely worked. Other well known brand mould removers need to be applied every few days and still don’t leave the shower recess looking as though the mould was being removed especially in the corners and under the last row of bathroom tiles. However this Dettol Healthy Clean Bathroom Remover left the shower stall looking refreshing clean so that’s why I rated I gave the five star rating I did. It was powerful in removing the mould, easy to use, no dribbles all over your hand when you use the nozzle, fast working and with a refreshing fragrance. My shower stall looks as though I did it yesterday and it has been 3 weeks with no mould build up back again.

1. Teach The Kids To Make Some Simple Breakfasts

Depending on their age there are so many safe and easy breakfasts kids can make themselves. From toasties, to yoghurt pots prepped the night before or just cereal. Not having to make breakfast for everyone will literally save you hours every week!

2. Lay Out Clothes For The Week

Use a hanging organiser or labelled baskets for each day. Include uniforms, socks and undies. Kids can dress themselves without the drama of missing items. I’ll be honest, my kids’ uniforms are expensive, so I wash during the week as they only have a couple of sets. However, if nothing else, having just socks and underwear sorted for the week is an absolute lifesaver!

 

The other huge help is not having to pre-treat stains on my kids’ uniforms, nobody has time for that during the week! My extra tip here is to use a great quality laundry detergent that is powerful enough to remove stains in-wash, so you don’t need to worry about pre-treating. Whether it’s a wall planner, a shared phone calendar or a digital calendar, you need everyone to be able to track all activities, due dates and after-school commitments in one place. It also helps gives the kids a a sense of responsibility and doesn’t leave everything on your shoulders!

4. Plan A Weekly School Admin Session

Answer school emails, sign permission forms, top up canteen accounts and check term calendars in one go instead of daily interruptions. You may only need to do this fortnightly or monthly, but just make sure you schedule it in your calendar. Trust me, it saves so much time compared to juggling things bit by bit!

5. Quick-Fire Cleaning Sessions

Set a timer for ten minutes in the afternoon, pop on some music and everyone tidies their zone. This includes the kids emptying their lunchboxes, washing their drink bottles, handing you any notes and putting their clothes in the wash. Small bursts like this stop the house turning into chaos by Friday.

6. Have A Snack Station

Keep a drawer or fridge shelf filled with ready portions. Kids can pack their own snacks for school, and also grab something to eat when they get home. Think ahead and include them in the weekly shopping – ask them what snacks they would like (and cross your fingers they’ll still like them all week!).

7. Set Up A Family Charging Station

One spot for iPads, laptops and phones. No searching for chargers or discovering a dead laptop ten minutes before school! Make sure each child puts their school device on charge when they get home, as part of their Quick-Fire Cleaning Session.

While we can’t promise your school weeks won’t have moments of chaos, taking some of these tips on board will save you time – even if it’s just five minutes here and there. It’s about building realistic habits for the whole family, that will hopefully bring some calm to the school week.

  • There are some great ideas here! I just use an old school paper calender but its so helpful to remember all the important dates – i always buy a family planner one so theres columns for each of us to write what were doing om certain days so we never run out of space! I need a snack station, but struggle to have healthy (or healthier) choices in the cupboard apart from the usual chips, rice crackers and museli bars!

  • There are some good hints here! I already do have a little snack station in my pantry – a large container filled with all sorts of bars, etc. It’s the first place the kids look for something to eat. I do like the idea of a charging station but I don’t think it would work in my house. Everyone seems to like charging things in their room and it could look messy with multiple cords.

  • The struggle is real so I’m loving these hints. I especially like the idea of getting the kids involved in preparing their own lunches and snacks and offering a variety of options that will hopefully encourage them to make healthy choices now and into the future.

Most of these I already do but it has reminded me to add a few other things to my list to organise before the school year starts in a couple of weeks. Helpful tips like this are so great as you can never remember everything and this sure has given me a few extra things to think about.

  • We do daily life admin because it simply makes life easier to stay on top of everything that is required to run a family and household. Planning and organisation is so vital for every family and for a household. It really is very important to stay on top of all things at all times.

  • I love this article. I can relate to a lot of these ideas. For instance, I have a snack shelf in my pantry so my kids can choose and pack their own snacks. No more asking them what they want. We also have a family charging station in the kitchen. iPads, laptops and phones are only allowed to be charged on the kitchen bench. I love the healthy cookies. I must give these a go. The family calendar system is a must too!

  • I totally agree with most of these. We bought some inexpensive cereal dispensers, and that made mornings much easier. And school admin? For me, that is every Wednesday right before a regular appointment. It fitted in perfectly, I never overlooked anything, and if I didn’t need it it was a glorious burst of free time.

  • I love this article and the tips and already follow many of them. I have always been a big fan of schedules and planners and they simply make sense and make sure everyone in the family is on task. I also love snack stations; one for the fridge and one for the pantry; again it makes sense and makes preparing food and lunchboxes and snack times easy.
