Dettol Glen 20 Spray Disinfectant is awesome, great for cleaning, protecting our home from germs, mould and making our house smell lovely. Dettol is definitely a brand I trust and have purchased these products already over and over and over again. I do feel my home is protected when I have these in my house. With little kiddies running around its a good feeling to protect against germs.
I definitely recommend to other mums and to families in general.
Last winter my daughter got sick once compared to the winter before where I lost count of how many times we were all sick. I didn't know what the difference was until my mother-in-law said it was because I started using dettol products. Without a doubt dettol was the best product I have purchased. My house smells fresher and I can walk into my house feeling like I have to start cleaning straight away.
Everyone in the house has been regularly using Dettol Liquid Hand Wash with ‘rose and cherry in bloom’. The verdict is: everyone loves it! They love the smell as it is not overpowering. I have happily purchased more of this hand wash for the other wet areas in the house.
I love detail brand. I always use Glen 20, I love the clean hygienic smell it leaves throughout the house after being sprayed. It is n easy product to use to kill them nasty germs. I also have always used the detail wipes, these are another simple to use and very clean product. Always leaving my benches with a clean look. I have just tried the detail soap and this just adds one more hygienic touch to the house. All great products and worth the try.
Dettol surface wipes are a must in our home, they are great for cleaning up after my two toddlers eat. I have tried cheaper brands of surface wipes and went right back to dettol. The other brands I've tried were very dry and could clean a whole branch at once. Also love dettol Glenn 20 for smells and fighting off bugs around the house.
The Dettol wipes are brilliant. I never worry about not killing all the germs leftover from preparing dinner when I use my Dettol wipes, the brand is synonymous with hygiene and I doubt that will change for a long time. I don't like Glen20 because aerosol sprays make my husband ill, but I can easily make do with wipes and diluted dettol in a spray bottle if necessary
I received a pack of the cleaning wipes in a sample box, and I love them. I cleaned the whole bathroom, including the shower, and it is the cleanest I have managed to get that screen in a very long time.
They were a little difficult to get started in the dispenser part of the pack, but once I got them going, they have been great.
Mum used Dettol when I was growing up and now I use it with my kids - from cleaning wounds to, washing, to cleaning, sprays to get rid of nasty smells and washing hands. I feel confident these products do the job I buy them to do. One shortcoming was the surface wipes didn't dispense easily and I found they tended to dry out easily.
I spray matteress before changing linen with glen 20. After cleaning my bathroom and laundry I spray glen 20. . Wipes I keep on hand in kitchen bathroom and laundry .the hand wash is easy to use and protects hands small or large old or young its gentle on all skin .. I love the feeling after I have washed my hands and the smell is beautiful ..
Glen 20 is always sprayed around to kill germs from colds etc in my home ..
I just love the ease of using glen 20, I use it to cover bad smells around the house and also to give the toilet seat a quick once over when i know guests are coming. I aso use it to clean my sons potty hich leaves it smelling freash.
I have been using them for a while now even before number one arrives and our family absoultely loves it. The Dettol products are all so easy to use. We always stock up on the surface cleanser wipes. Now with the baby running around, we use it pretty much on everywhere, from the kitchen to the baby room to the toilet! I find the wipes very good, the wipes are big enough and it's not dry at all (like how some wipes can be), it also does not leave a sticky residue feeling after too when using. A trusted brand that you know it kills the germs yet it is very gentle on our skins.
I love the range there is something for every area of the house.
I love the dettol wipes they are a quick and easy way to clean things. I have used these wipes especially when unexpected visitors arrive and I need to do a quick wipe down in the bathroom and the toilet areas. I also use in the kitchen and it is nice to know that you can safely use this in food preparation areas. Great product Dettol! Well done :)
The Dettol surface cleanser wipes are a great addition to any household. To wipe over bench tops, door handles or any other surfaces that need to be germ free. We use these to wipe over the kids toys, especially if there has been a bit of sickness in the house.
Dettol Glen 20 spray, well I was never a fan, but I have been converted! I bit the bullet and went and brought some to try after a tummy bug was going around. It was great to spray over the bathroom and toilet and door handles to kill any germs before they had time to spread.
We always have a bottle of Dettol Hand Wash in each bathroom and the kitchen sink. Nice smell and makes you feel clean and fresh. There was no skin irritation and made our hands feel soft and clean.
My detox wipes I have them in the kitchen to wipe down benches etc in the bathroom. In the laundry. In the car .. I need them. I love the smell. It leaves my kitchen benches clean so I know I can trust them when preparing food that my Benches are clean .. I love the detail spray. After I have finished vacuuming dusting etc I go through with the spray. Just so my home smells fresh I know it's clean .. I also use my detox wipes on my outside tables. .. Brilliant.
Dettol liquid hand wash is a product that I like to purchase on a frequent basis. As I do a fair amount of cooking, regular hand washing is normal practice. By using Dettol liquid hand wash, I'm reassured that my hands are clean and that harmful germs are eliminated.
Dettol liquid hand wash had pride of place at my kitchen sink, keeping cooking hands clean and safe as well as soft and moisturised,
I highly recommended using Dettol liquid hand wash for sneaky clean hands.
Great for quality, great for price, great for protecting my family from all the nasty things that are around. I really like using Dettol Brand items, especially the liquid hand wash, my girls love using straight after bathroom duties, or when they just have dirty hands. We can always rely on Dettol to keep our family safe and stop spreading germs
I have been using the Glen 20 for many years. I really love the smell of the 'crisp linen' fragrance. I also use this to keep mould away in the bathroom as well - it does the job.
I love the disinfectant wipes to - I use them on feet before doing any massages or treatments on people.
And the hand sanitizer I have in my bathroom - so I know if the kids don't wash their hand for very long the sanitizer does the job.
I use Dettol because it's a brand I trust and I know it does what it claims to do! Knowing my family are protected against germs and my home is hygienically clean is so important to me! I also use the Surface cleanser wipes at work - great for shared phones and canteen preparation areas!
ask anyone who has known me during my nesting phases with both of my sons, i would just use dettol from the bottle and dilute it into sprays or buckets of water and cleaned everything with it. even my first midwife home visit with my youngest commented on how clean and sterile my home smelled. my only disappointment with these products is that i am unable to get that original antiseptic smell from them (strange i know). my trust in dettol products have not wavered and i have used them for many years (especially after the antiseptic phases) and barring the wipes (we usually have pine'o'clean') we use these as weekly staples in my household. i would definitely recommend these products and continue to use them in the future. they are fantastic, fresh smelling and easy to use and great for any houses with more messes and spills than a mum can know what to do with!
I recently purchased Detttol floor wipes & I was amazed at how sparkling my tiles were. These disposable wipes are just perfect for spills & I know my floor is hygienically clean. Dettol products stand out for me & I will continue to purchase these marvellous floor wipes.
The smell of Dettol to me means 'clean'. I use the surface wipes on every surface in my home (bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms, outdoors etc) and only use Dettol liquid handwash. I recently found out that not only does the Dettol spray freshen up surfaces, rooms etc, but you can also spray it in smelly shoes and it gets rid of the odour!
I always have a bottle of Dettol hand sanitiser right next to the change table for use after a nappy change. I like to know that my hands are clean before I pick up my bub. It's also not easy to be able to go wash your hands straight away, so the hand sanitiser is excellent. We also use it whenever there is sickness in the house. Again, washing your hands isn't always an option quickly, but a quick squirt of sanitiser after wiping noses and I know we should be ok!
I love the liquid hand wash. We use it most if the time. It foams well and smells nice. I do feel that my hands are very clean after washing with it. I love the spray to. I commonly use it as a room deodoriser. I also use it not the kitchen table but I always wash the table first then use the spray. I don't like to use the spray alone on surfaces as I don't think this actually removes and dirt or germs, I don't think any brand of spray does that. I would buy these products again and I do think they are good quality, and a trusted brand

How to choose the best lunch box for school
When you’re searching for a kids’ lunch box, take the time to work out what will best suit their needs. If you make the right choice and invest in a quality one, it will last many years.
Box, bento or bag? If your child doesn’t like different foods touching, a bento lunch box is a great choice. Also, think about whether they prefer cut-up or whole fruit; a bento is better suited to cut food, while bags and boxes suit whole fruit. Bags are fantastic if you like to pack separate containers, like smaller bento or snack containers.
Freshness is a must – An insulated bag or box will keep everything cool and fresh until snack and lunchtime. But you can also get boxes that come with cold and ice packs. Remember, kids’ lunches often sit at room temperature for up to 5 or 6 hours before they’re eaten, so insulation and coolness are important. Check out how to keep school lunches safe in the heat.
Easy-to-clean design – Check if the box is dishwasher-safe, or for lunch bags, if they’re machine-washable.
Leak-proof – The last thing you want is a soggy mess at lunchtime, so if buying a hard lunch box, look for designs that are leak-proof with proper seals.
Child-friendly – Depending on your child’s motor skills and independence, you may need to start with a product that’s simple to open and close.
The right size – We tend to pack way too much in our kids’ lunches, so think about how much realistically you’ll need to pack for your child when choosing the size of their lunch box. You may also need to consider the size of their school bags.

After something a bit more mature? Bentgo’s Modern lunch boxes are a great option. They have a sleek matte finish in a choice of four stylish shades, including Mint Green, Orchid, Dark Grey and Navy. Each is cleverly designed with a removable divider that allows you to choose between using three or four compartments. Practical and customisable with your child’s name, these insulated bags tick all the boxes. You have a choice of five bag colours, and from there you get to choose from a huge range of designs and fonts to personalise it! Each comes with a mesh pocket for ice bricks, a top carry handle, a secure zip closure and enough internal space to fit a medium bento box.
Pros:
Machine-washable

With their name on it, you won’t need to visit lost property!
With a leak-proof silicone seal, these colourful lunch companions keep sauces and dips right where they belong. They come with six compartments, which convert to three for easy washing on the top shelf of the dishwasher. They’re free from any nasties and customisation with your child’s name – no more lost property, yay! Choose from box colours of Matte Navy, Pink Lemonade, Dusky Blue or Seafoam Green- if you can!
Uber stylish and as roomy as can be, these contemporary bags are perfect for kids of all ages who prefer to pack several separate containers. It has a 100% cotton canvas outer, an insulated lining and comes with a super handy internal name label. Just as great for preschool as they are for high school.

Finally, a kids’ lunch box that stores hot AND cold food in one place! Designed out of necessity by a problem-solving mum, the OmieBox encourages low-waste lunches and ends the need to use multiple clunky containers (which always get lost!). The spill-proof individual compartments mean no mixing of savoury and sweet, and the 280ml double-wall thermos keeps soups and pasta hot for up to six hours!
Health professionals agree that kids need a good balance of lean protein, grains, fruit and vegetables throughout the school day. Skip the processed food and try to reach for whole foods that pack a punch in the nutrient department. Here are some great ideas:
Grilled chicken or turkey wraps with fresh salad
Crackers and vegetable sticks with healthy dips like hummus
Whole-grain pasta with cherry tomatoes and your choice of cheese
Zucchini slice cut into rectangles for easy stacking in an insulated box
That lunchbox comparison table is handy to have. It helped me make a decision on which lunchbox to buy next for my daughter who is starting kindergarten. I needed to upgrade her lunchbox but wasn’t sure which way to go. The table helped me with my decision. I ended up going with the BBOX and have found a cheaper lunch bag from a department store that it fits in.
I do not know if anyone else has picked up on this or not, but every bag mentioned in the table above is a ‘designer’ brand. There are plenty of more affordable options that aren’t over $40. I have never spent that much on a lunchbox – even from Smiggle. The cheaper brands last just as well too.
Getting ready for the return to school has started to kick in so this was a timely read. We have the yum box and i love it, it is so easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. I find the lunch cooler bags also a great idea however some days depending on what else needs to go to school, they can be quite bulky to include in the school bag. I need to do some more research this year as i like the idea of being able to watch it in the washing machine, that is a clever idea.
Along with all of the other back to school products; there is also a good range of lunch boxes available for people to buy. It has been fun to see the wide range of bottles and lunch boxes that are available for the new year for school and for work.
Lunch boxes have come such a long way since my eldest was a kid, he’s now 26! There’s really a solution to everything from food heating, cooling, dividers, pockets etc etc. Lunch boxes are a real fashion accessory and so on-trend these days. I personally love the Bento lunch boxes. They save on plastic and separate different foods.
I am such a huge fan of Bento lunch boxes and Bento. Food should be so many wonderful things; including delicious, fun, colourful and nutritious too. Lunch is a favourite meal because the body is ready for some more calories and a boost of energy. Food looks so good in Bento lunch boxes.
So so many fantastic options! We use the montii co ones for our kdis and swear by it. Its lasted 3 years so far and still standing strong, like new since the first day using it. They are so durable and i find cleaning them to be the easiest for us.
There are so many great lunch box option out there indeed ! I’ve always liked the Bento style lunch boxes for my kids. It reduces the use of plastic lunch bags and packaged food which aren’t very good for the environment and it encourages to present a good variety of foods (which is not only better nutrition wise but lao to prevent our kids from getting bored with same foods all the time.
There are some really fabulous options here. So many variations of colour, shape and size. I love the bento style lunch boxes, so handy to keep food separate and eliminate the use of plastic packaging. The machine washable bags are a great idea too. They can get grubby so fast, this would be so much easier to maintain
This has gotten much easier since my kids hit high school – they have strong opinions about their lunch boxes, so I don’t have to think about it so much anymore! However, I am strongly in favor of bento style boxes regardless of their age. They’re easy to clean, easy to pack, and invite appropriate sized portions.
Great article! Our kids are so lucky, when it comes to lunchboxes, they really are spoilt for choice. There are so many to pick from. Regarding sandwiches, my eldest son, used to hate sandwiches for school lunches. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered that he’d throw out his sandwiches in the playground bins. My son’s an adult now and he still hates sandwiches. He only likes “hot” lunches. So glad he lives on his own now and can make his own “hot” lunches just the way he likes them.
This is an extremely useful article!! 2 schppl going kids and third starting kinder soon means we are always on the lookout for lunch ideas and lunch boxes. This is a great list with features and prices listed to make the search easier and help with decision making for purchasing of the lunch boxes
This is super useful article and thank you. I can see so variety of lunch boxes from every store. Always wonder which one would be more convenient to use by little hands. I love some of these lunchboxes to give it a try for this year. And then decide to go with suitable ones
Wow, lunch boxes have really come such a long way from when I was taking a lunch box to school. Feel old, like “back in my day”, but we were lucky to have options like are available now. While I like some of these designs, I feel like they aren’t super practical.
These lunchboxes are beautiful but are they really worth the expensive price tag? I have been through so many lunch boxes and bags over the years and found the best it to use an insulated lunchbox bag with ice brick and use small containers to keep individual items fresh and assessable.
I love the bbox lunch boxes. They are so reliable and tough when kids throw their bags around. Easy to wash and store. I have used the we can be tiny snackies at home too. The boys love choosing a certain animal shape. They wash well, are durable and great quality.
My kids are old enough now to pack their own lunches and I am so happy to see the great choices they are making. They take left over meals, cook food in the morning to take and now I am confident they aren’t throwing away sandwiches! I do have the chilly bags for them, I find they fit better into bags
My daughter uses a bento box now for work and sometimes an insulated bag in summer, but when she was at school it was a rectangular lunch box with no compartments. It was very easy to wash each day, just the box and lid, and it could still be filled with rolls/sandwiches and snacks.
Lunchboxes are so important these days. Back in my day it was a brown paper bag or the exact same lunch box that everyone else had and there were three compartments. Today its such a fashion statement and as much as the lunchbox itself is judged so are the contents.
