Months after getting my Haier and posting multiple reviews for the privilege I just can’t help coming back to tell everyone how amazing it is. It has actually restored clothes and they look better than they have since they were first washed. As a busy homeschooling mum of four I can’t recommend it more highly. If you need a new machine, choose Haier, you won’t regret it!!!

After trialling the Haier for over a month now and posting numerous reviews on its amazing cycles, gentle but thorough washing performance, its energy ratings, temperature control and convenient front loading I can honestly say it is the best machine I’ve ever owned and would not consider going back, so much so I gave my 3 year old 9.5 Westinghouse top loader away to continue using the Haier. It’s just so efficient, cleans noticeably better and is so much gentler on our clothes, especially the uniforms and muddy scouts clothes that need a deep clean but to last. My toddlers stains are coming out now with just regular top loader detergent, I don’t need as many expensive pre soak and wash enhancing products that were essential with my old machine. The babies clothes and woolens are clean but not distorted and pilling like many wool cycles on other machines, you really can trust the Haier will delicates, it hasn’t ruined a single item of clothing and with the handmade baby woolens that is amazing and so convenient! With four busy kids I have a lot to wash but now I don’t dread it so much because with the Haier there is no hit or miss risk with damage or setting stains in worse.

Having had the Haier for over a week and as previously said I am now a front loader convert and a sceptic who has been proven wrong. The convenient size for my laundry, the quiet yet efficient cycles, the choices!! I could go on and on about the cycle choices and temperature control as well as the water savings. Its accessible, easy to use and works a treat, loving the sports cycle for the boys muddy clothes! I didn’t think a machine could do everything a family of six needed that included school aged scouts, a toddler and a young baby.
I decided today to fight the fear and try the wool cycle. A lot of our four kids jumpers are wool, handmade by my grandmothers and treasured. I took the plunge, used the wool cycle and anxiously awaiting the result….No damage, no shrinking and no pilling or pulls and no stains!!! They were gently cleaned and came out like new. Another tick of approval to the Haier.See picture of my son, never would have used a machine for this before! My previous machine would have eaten them despite being quite new, it could never be trusted from the beginning and ruined some clothing. The Haier doesn’t get all the clothes twisted and cords tied around things and is way gentler on all our clothes no matter the cycle.
Although with six of us its slightly smaller than our old 9.5kg top loader we are managing and would rather do one extra load on average every three days just for the benefits and it still costs less anyway especially in water usage not to mention the convenience of not hanging into a top loader trying to fish things out.
Overall I’m enjoying my Haier and very pleased with it so far. Next experiment will be trying the presoak option on my babies bibs. Looking forward to the results 🙂

After now using almost every cycle out of eleven possibilities yes eleven!! I will never use a front loader sceptics like myself who thought front loaders were not larger family friendly. With cycles like sports and fast for the whoops I forgot times, the Haier has been amazing. The Haier has really exceeded my expectations I honestly didn’t think a front loader would be enough for our big family but I was wrong. The variable temperatures and extra prewash and intense cycles are perfect for families. With a baby, a toddler and two other older kids are a husband I have a lot of different types of washing and the Haier has a cycle for everything! The door lock is great if you have littlies and the convenience of a front loader is the best possible thing for my body. No more bending and breaking my back over the top loader. All clothes have come out clean, undamaged and I’m very happy with the results. If I can convert to a front loader any other sceptics can!! Perfect for a family machine, couldn’t be happier. Quiet, fast and so simple to use as you can see from my picture, even my nine year old can help with washing now! Highly recommended.

I was excited to start using my Haier 7kg washer as soon as it arrived and I read the book. The wash cycle options are amazing and so surprisingly fast as I had been warned by numerous people it would be much slower than my expensive 9.5kg top loader I had for my family of six. Not true!! Not only is it faster, the specialized cycle options are perfect for a family with a young baby, toddler and two older kids with muddy uniforms and scout clothes. I was amazed that even when adding the intense option to the cycle for particularly dirty clothes it still was faster and did a better job than my top loader ever did! And the convenience of a front loader is AMAZING no bending right in and breaking my back! For a family this big I was amazed this machine could do the job, I thought my not too old, expensive top loader was the best I could get and was honestly sceptical about a front loader. I was wrong!! Never will I go back to anything else. Haier you really have created an amazingly versatile machine perfect for any family especially with kids. The true test today? My husband’s work clothes. Used the sport cycle, added the intense option and decided to see what happened when I didn’t use the prewash option to really give her a test. Result…Perfectly clean, fresh work clothes in 1 hour and 35 minutes!! Looking forward to trying some more cycles and options, I can’t believe a washing machine can be this exciting. The water rating is fantastic and not even comparable to a top loader and its quiet and more efficient. Highly recommend.

The Haier has really exceeded my expectations especially with size, load sizes, speed and how incredibly well it cleans our whole families clothes so gently. The cycle options are well thought out, convenient and all relevant, unlike alot of machines that have different cycles but they are not family specific. I never thought I could like a front loader, let alone love and want it forever. With a family of six, including a young baby, a toddler and two school aged children who also do scouts I needed something that could wash and treat everything in one machine. Haier has done this. From fast cycles to specialized sports cycle and variable temperatures and an intense option to add washing time for really filthy items. The Haier cleans without needing expensive laundry boosters and without damaging clothes and leaving them twisted and beaten. The convenient front loading means no more bending down into the machine and its so easy to understand even my older children can use it.
Over the last month I have found washing easier, not as daunting and so much more physically easier.
The Haier has been a huge success in our house and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, quality machine that is designed for families. I couldn’t be more impressed, not what I expected when changing from my top of the line top loader to a front loader but I have given away the top loader now and will never go back!
The team at Haier are great (I called the advice line even though I didn’t need to to check 😉 and they were friendly, helpful and easy to understand which was great. If you are getting a new machine I highly recommend the Haier and its high standard performance.

Everything a family needs in a machine. Fits nicely in the laundry, is quiet, has an amazing water and energy ratings. The 11 cycles cover everything from my babies delicates, to my kids uniforms, toddlers mud and all gently without damaging a thing. Front loading is so convenient and safety lock is great for toddlers. Variable temperature and an intense option for extra washing also are great and the pre wash mode and variable temperatures mean even baby nappies can hygienically be washed. We are loving the Haier and could not have chosen a better machine for our family of six if we tried. I can\’t speak highly enough of it and as you can see in my other reviews over the last few weeks it has completely won me over despite my initial reservations. Highly recommend.

The Haier has really exceeded my expectations of a front loader machine for a family of six, including myself, my husband, school kids, a toddler and a young baby. It really does have a cycle for everything and is fast!! I thought front loaders took a lot longer than top loaders but boy was I wrong. The Haier even has a 15 minute or 40 minute cycle for all those times you forgot you needed something and need it fast. Sports cycle is great for uniforms and muddy clothes, I’ve noticed a difference in how much cleaner they are now. The temperature options within each cycle allow me to choose what is best and needed depending on circumstances and adjust accordingly. Its easy to access, no bending into a front loader ever again for me! So easy and straight forward to run my nine year old can use it. Excellent results and amazing water and energy ratings. My toddler loves helping load it up and watching the washing happen so the auto lock feature is reassuring. Washing doesn’t seem so physically hard or like such a huge job anymore! Fantastic family machine, highly recommend to anyone who has a few kids and needs a machine that is convenient, easy to use and does a great job.

Having had this machine for 4years now, I would highly recommend i t to anyone looking at purchasing a washing machine. I have never had a problem with it. It generally does one full load of washing a day, it’s fast and washes nicely!washes the clothes well, the price, economical detergent use, low water use, easy to use, delay start, clothes come out relatively dry. That’s all i want.Do the job it says.

Its just a washing machine, nothing special or anything to write home about. I am actually disapointed overall and I wouldnt recommned it or Buy it again. Its washes the clothes but that is all that it does. Maybe it will grow on me but im not sure its going to cut it. I would prefer it to be bigger capacity.

Exceeds my expectations and thoroughly satified with the performance
I’ve had my Haier 7kg front loading washing machine for several months now and it has fitted in seamlessly with our family life-style. I had a more expensive European brand before that I thought performed very well so I wasn’t sure of what to expect of the Haier brand, and yet, the Haier has done as well, if not better. I frequently use the Sport and Quick 40’ programmes which are very helpful and a real time saver when you have several different loads to do. I’ve even used the Express 15’ wash early on a Monday morning when there was a panic on for a school shirt that had gone AWOL! The results were perfect. The Haier copes with everything that busy family life can throw at it and I would highly recommend it. The programmes seem to be very well thought out and offer a variety of temperature and spin options and are very easy to programme. It’s nice to have the benefit of a bigger drum and also the detergent drawer is very capacious and looks like it will be easy to keep clean. The machine still looks shiny and new and I’m interested to see how the ‘long lasting anti-bacterial door seal’ will perform as this was a negative on my last machine. The machine has good water consumption ratings and energy use is rated on the intense programme which I haven’t had to use yet, so I’m confident that the machine will be quite energy efficient as well as these performance factors are important to our family.

I cannot say enough great things about the Haier 7kg Front Loading Washing Machine. After 2 months of using the machine, I’m totally converted. I never thought I’d like using a front loader, but it’s been an absolute pleasure to use and there is no way I’d go back to my old top loader washing machine. Simple to use, easily selectable settings, straight forward setup, efficient, quiet, washes a good size load…I could go on all day! If you’ve ever owned a front loader and want another, or you’ve been considering buying a front loader but have been to scared to commit, don’t hesitate any longer – this is the machine for you. You will not be disappointed with this machine.

There is so much choice with the Haier front loader. I love the many different program cycles, the accurate temperature control button and the extra programs you can add to the cycles such as delay, extra rinse, intense and rinse hold. With all this choice the Haier front loader is certainly NOT a boring washing machine.
After trialling this machine for the past couple of months, I am completely converted to being a front loader user. I would not buy another top loader after seeing how gentle, how efficient and how easy it is on your back. (Bending your knees to load this machine instead of bending at your waist to load/unload a top loader is so much easier on you!) I wash for two kids, my husband and of course myself, so I have really put this machine through its paces and I have been so happy with the results. Clean, well cared for clothes EVERY time.
It’s gentle on your clothes, quiet, compact and clever. I happily tell all my friends how great this machine is – I highly recommend the Haier 7kg front loading washing machine.
I am still loving using the Haier front loader washing machine. It’s ability to wash and clean, while being so gentle on my family’s clothes amazes me. Even more so is the fact I am saving so much money on using so little washing powder compared to when I was using my old top loader. The efficiency of the machine is definitely a feature that should be noted and commended. I have recommended this machine to all my friends and I will continue to do so as I am so happy with the results day after day.
Not only am I excited to use the machine, but my 3 year old is excited too. Thanks to the Haier front loader being the perfect toddler height, I can include my curious little boy in my daily errand of clothes washing. Previously with my old top loader, he couldn’t see what was happening, now he races me to the machine to help and to see the clothes go round and round. Fantastic machine, with lots of different, useful functions.
I can’t say enough good things about the Haier front loader washing machine. I absolutely LOVE using it and I use it at least twice a day with a baby and a toddler.
I love how you can put your washing basket under the opening of the machine and pull out all your washing without straining your back and you don’t drop the washing everywhere.
I love the simple, easy to use dial and buttons. The machine has been well thought out and is very user friendly.
The user manual is easy to follow and I have enjoyed getting to know the 10 different program modes. There’s a pre-wash, cotton, synthetic, wool, mixed, sport, quick 40, express 15, rinse and spin/drain. In a previous review I have said my favorite is the the quick 40 as it lets me get many loads on washing done in the quickest time frame.
However, I don’t like the default to the last program selection. After a particularly long day of screaming kids and maybe one too many glasses of wine, I may have thought I put the machine on the wool program when really, I had forgotten to change the program and it defaulted to my favorite quick 40. My beautiful wool cardigan is now in the bin. This is a user fault not the machine, but I can’t help but dislike the default to last program… If only it had to be selected every time, then this silly mummy wouldn’t have been caught out!
Overall the washing machine is more than big enough for a family of four and does a terrific job of cleaning heavily soiled, messy kids clothes. To give you an idea of the size of the machine, I can easily fit in a queen sized fitted sheet, a queen sized flat sheet, four pillow cases and four pillow protectors in one load. I am more than happy with the cleanliness of the sheets and pillowcases when they’re all washed together and I am always amazed how gentle the machine is. I am yet to come across a piece of clothing or piece linen that has been eaten up in the wash. Something that would happen all too frequently in my old top loader.

The Haier Front Loader continues to exceed my expectations and amaze me how well it can clean our laundry. It’s easy to use, compact and good looking to boot. It really is hard to fault.
I love the pre-wash function, which I use if the kids clothes are heavily soiled, the extra rinse function is also great after I add in nappysan.
The cotton cycle is AMAZING. I put my towels and sheets through this function and I have been wowed with the results. My towels looked like brand new and the stains I couldn’t get out in my previous machine, were completely gone. They were left fluffy, absorbant and clean.
I would highly recommend this machine to my friends and family.
After many weeks using the Haier Front Loader machine, doing the washing for a family of four, I can highly recommend my favourite programme, the quick 40 cycle. I’ve used it for towels, sheets and clothes. What I love about it is, I can do many loads of washing in the morning and have them all hung and drying before I need to go out for the day. When you’re a mum and get up at 6am, being able to get the washing out of the way by 9:30-10am means is going to be a great day!

Perfect Family machine, from mud to newborn it covers all!
The Haier has really exceeded my expectations especially of a front loader.
I was the owner of a 9.5kg Westinghouse top loader that promised to be the best for a family, especially one including two adults, two school children, a toddler and a new baby. It was great for amount you could fit in but benefits were also its downsides too because it was huge, taking up a large amount of space, hard to reach into and very harsh on clothes and couldn’t be trusted with delicates, woolens (of which we have lots) and church dresses and was fading my kids navy blue school, sports and scout uniforms before my eyes.
The Haier is compact, fits the laundry perfectly, is easy enough to load and unload even for my 11 and 9 year olds. It uses a ridiculous amount less water and energy and best of all…
I CAN TRUST IT. After a few weeks of trial I can honestly say that, which I never thought I would about any machine again and I can tell you a few clear reasons why:
*The Sports option for kids muddy and dirty school and scout uniforms gets them wonderfully clean without fading colour but still removing stains.
*Its gentle. Not just on the delicates and wool cycles EVERY cycle. No matter how deep the clean needs to be and intense the cycle nothing becomes tangled, drawstrings stay in and clothes come out as good as new. Major difference to a top loader, even the best of its kind.
*Its easy to access, easy to use and understand. My older children can fill, operate and empty it easily and without help after only a short time of instruction. The cycle titles mean it’s easy to identify what is required and which to use simplifying it fantastically. Its quiet, has an amazing water and energy rating and an auto lock for safety especially if you have toddlers.
*It really has a cycle for EVERYTHING A FAMILY NEEDS.
-Two fast cycles for those times you forget you need something, are in a rush or its lightly soiled are very convenient and do a great job.
-cotton cycle for towels, sheets, bedding and for mums who use cloth nappies the temperature control means you can even wash those, especially because of the pre wash cycle for soaking!
– The Sports cycle as I mentioned above is a family MUST HAVE if you want clean without damage leading to needing more frequent replacements and inability to pass down to younger siblings. The Haier masters this.
-Synthetic and mixed are designed for all regular washing and use ideal temperature and allow you to set temperature as do all cycles so you can cold wash or add heat if you need to. Both are gentle and effective.
-pre wash allows you to soak anything and is great heavily stained items, cloth nappies and anything you want to really give a deep intensive clean to. I have found even with the dirtiest of clothes I have not had to use it except when there was a toddler poo explosion in the cot and it was amazing!!
-wool. This would have to be one of my favourites. Our four children wear a lot of handmade woollen jumpers and blankets. My old machine had a wool and delicatessen cycle but it ruined a lot of items, catches, pulls, pilling and stretching were the norm so I couldn’t use it. I reluctantly decided since the Haier had been so gentle with all our other clothes to test a weeks load of wool jumpers belonging to my baby and toddler. Not only did it only take 50 minutes, it removed food stains, milk stains and not a single piece of damage or distortion. As you can see in my picture they look as good as new and I couldn’t be happier.
* Features like the Intense mode that adds washing time for really dirty items, rinse and rinse and spin cycles, the option to hold or add an extra rinse, adjustable spin speeds and temperature for ALL cycles and a delay option to preset a start time really make this the machine with everything.
The only thing to be aware of is that although it is a 7kg machine only pre wash and cotton allow for 7kg of clothing the rest are either 4kg for regular loads and 2kg for wool and the two fast cycles so don’t overfill the machine. Because I have a large family I am doing more loads including wool and baby that many others wouldn’t and they have increased in number compared to old machine, but the benefits of the different cycles and difference in our clothes means as well as water savings means an extra load every 3 days or so on average is worth it. I was warned front loaders took a lot longer than a top loader, the Haier has pleasantly surprised me, some cycles are actually shorter and only the cotton cycle is longer.
The Haier is doing an amazing job and I highly recommend it for all the reasons above and to any family who needs a good, easy machine that you can trust not to damage your washing and consistently perform well in different scenarios. Very impressive Haier, I’m a convert.

Having had the Haier for over a week and as previously said I am now a front loader convert and a sceptic who has been proven wrong. The convenient size for my laundry, the quiet yet efficient cycles, the choices!! I could go on and on about the cycle choices and temperature control as well as the water savings. Its accessible, easy to use and works a treat, loving the sports cycle for the boys muddy clothes! I didn’t think a machine could do everything a family of six needed that included school aged scouts, a toddler and a young baby.
I decided today to fight the fear and try the wool cycle. A lot of our four kids jumpers are wool, handmade by my grandmothers and treasured. I took the plunge, used the wool cycle and anxiously awaiting the result….No damage, no shrinking and no pilling or pulls and no stains!!! They were gently cleaned and came out like new. Another tick of approval to the Haier.See picture of my son, never would have used a machine for this before! My previous machine would have eaten them despite being quite new, it could never be trusted from the beginning and ruined some clothing. The Haier doesn’t get all the clothes twisted and cords tied around things and is way gentler on all our clothes no matter the cycle.
Although with six of us its slightly smaller than our old 9.5kg top loader we are managing and would rather do one extra load on average every three days just for the benefits and it still costs less anyway especially in water usage not to mention the convenience of not hanging into a top loader trying to fish things out.
Overall I’m enjoying my Haier and very pleased with it so far. Next experiment will be trying the presoak option on my babies bibs. Looking forward to the results 🙂

It’s been a couple of weeks since first starting using this machine and I haven’t had any problems except getting used to using very little washing powder. I am so impressed at the cleanliness of the washed clothes and am so surprised you need so little powder! I haven’t even bothered with fabric softener as I’m happy with the condition the clothes have come out.
I took the plunge and threw in my favourite merino wool cardigan. I am more than happy to recommend the wool program which is preset to 40 degrees and a spin cycle of 600 rpm. My cardigan came out feeling amazing, well washed, no damage and no shrinkage. So now in go all my babies merino suits without any hesitation.
Overall I am still very satisfied with this washing machine and I highly recommend it. The picture is of my towels having the cotton ‘treatment’ or program, 3h35mins at 60 degrees.
The Haier has really exceeded my expectations of a front loader machine for a family of six, including myself, my husband, school kids, a toddler and a young baby. It really does have a cycle for everything and is fast!! I thought front loaders took a lot longer than top loaders but boy was I wrong. The Haier even has a 15 minute or 40 minute cycle for all those times you forgot you needed something and need it fast. Sports cycle is great for uniforms and muddy clothes, I’ve noticed a difference in how much cleaner they are now. The temperature options within each cycle allow me to choose what is best and needed depending on circumstances and adjust accordingly. Its easy to access, no bending into a front loader ever again for me! So easy and straight forward to run my nine year old can use it. Excellent results and amazing water and energy ratings. My toddler loves helping load it up and watching the washing happen so the auto lock feature is reassuring. Washing doesn’t seem so physically hard or like such a huge job anymore! Fantastic family machine, highly recommend to anyone who has a few kids and needs a machine that is convenient, easy to use and does a great job.

After now using almost every cycle out of eleven possibilities yes eleven!! I will never use a front loader sceptics like myself who thought front loaders were not larger family friendly. With cycles like sports and fast for the whoops I forgot times, the Haier has been amazing. The Haier has really exceeded my expectations I honestly didn’t think a front loader would be enough for our big family but I was wrong. The variable temperatures and extra prewash and intense cycles are perfect for families. With a baby, a toddler and two other older kids are a husband I have a lot of different types of washing and the Haier has a cycle for everything! The door lock is great if you have littlies and the convenience of a front loader is the best possible thing for my body. No more bending and breaking my back over the top loader. All clothes have come out clean, undamaged and I’m very happy with the results. If I can convert to a front loader any other sceptics can!! Perfect for a family machine, couldn’t be happier. Quiet, fast and so simple to use as you can see from my picture, even my nine year old can help with washing now! Highly recommended.

I had issues with my son pooping a lot as a newborn. Sometimes it can be really hard to keep the rash at bay if you have a child that is constantly doing that. There is some acidity in the excrement and that can cause burning before it’s even been against their skin for long. I used to use paw paw cream on him and that worked best as a barrier.
Nappy Rash can be so raw and painful and i always worried so much when our babies had a bout of it. I remember trying so many things but always found good old petroleum jelly used regularly would help in keeping it at bay. There are some great suggestions in the article.
I did find that not all nappy rash creams are as good as each other. After trialing many brands I settled on Sudocrem as the best for me and my baby. Changing nappies frequently and air time is also very important.
There are so many common sense tip in this article and they are tips that we followed. We kept everything as natural as possible on very soft and sensitive skin. We went with plenty of nappy free times and we were very fortunate to not encounter issues with nappy rash.

It can become more challenging when your child has diarrhea; in which case bare bum time becomes more complex and the skin more irritated in which the gentle washing with warm water, patting dry with a soft cotton flannel and good zinc cream is more important
Even though I agree that prevention is key, I also think it’s important to have a good barrier cream to hand to help at the first signs of trouble. There are lots of good brands, you can pick any really that suits your baby’s skin. But use it liberally when you need it!

Nappy rash is horrible and prevention is definately better than cure. This is a fantastic article with some great tips. Especially the changing of the nappy frequently. Unfortunately sometimes especially once they’re on solids and their poops get yucky a little nappy rash can be unavoidable in which case a small amount of sudocreme clears it up quickly.
We found that changing nappies frequently was key for us. And once the kids starting sleeping for long periods at night, we started using the really good quality nappies – Huggies, as it happens – while cheaper nappies were still okay for the day and frequent changes. Nappies do vary! .
This is a really great reminder that nappy rash can happen but there are some great tips to help try and avoid it. I use to do a lot of nappy free time with my daughter when we were home as she had sensitive skin and I layered the barrier cream on all the time, especially at night.
