I would like to review the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive Washing Machine as mine is on its way out and with a large family trying to do washing my hand is going to take me forever to get through. Plus the thought of trying to wash sheets by hand is putting me off. This machine sounds really good and I like the fact that the hot water can be up to 50% less and I also like that the detergent mixes with the water before spraying into the drum that makes more sense to me. I would really like to try out this product and hope I get an opportunity to do so.

I threw my dog’s bed and blanket into the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive washing machine. I admit I hadn’t washed either for some months so they absolutely stank and were covered in dog hair! The dog bed looked a bit lumpy from washing when it came out (I put the spin on 800rpm so it was pretty wrung out and nearly dry!) but it shook back into shape easily. Both the dog bed and the blanket came out smelling nothing like dog, just a lovely ‘just washed’ smell, and all the dog hairs were gone. Lots of room in the machine too, it easily held the dog bed and the blanket with room to add more. Dog not happy with his clean bed, but I am very happy!

I had a last minute sports uniform ’emergency’ today- i.e. my son wanted his sports uniform to take to school, it was at the bottom of the clothes basket wet and smelly. Did the 12 minute wash option on the machine, chucked the clothes in the drier and they were ready in about half an hour!

My old top loader had the hot water plumbed into the machine, meaning I could only wash to around 50 deg C. I have always hot washed all bedding and towels due to my sons severe allergies to dust mites. Having washed towels and bedding in the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive machine he has commented on feeling better when waking in the morning, and being less reliant on his preventer medication. I have been washing the towels and bedding at 70 deg C, and using the extra rinse cycles. It is great to think his need for medication has dropped. The bedding and towels look and smell cleaner than they ever have in the past! An added bonus of the machine is the hot rinse that can be done when washing at lower temperatures – this ensures all clothing and bedding can be adequately treated. Customised wash setting like these are just not available with other machines.

I decided to test the new machine on some winter jackets that needed freshening up. One was a wool blend coat, the other a feather filled jacket. I would never have put these in any top loader, but decided to put them in the Kleenmaid eco sensitive machine on the hand wash cycle. The jackets came out like new! I was so impressed that this machine – it will certainly cut down on my dry cleaning bill in the future!

I thought I would give the hand wash cycle a go and put two school blazers in for a wash over the weekend- I usually dry clean them but they came up really well. Grime on collars gone and tomato sauce on a sleeve no longer there! No more trips to the dry cleaner!

Since we have to test the new Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive we volunteered to clean the rugby jerseys after a Sunday game in the rain and mud. Yet again the machine did not disappoint. The setting for extra dirty, combined with the extra rinse cycle was great. I love how the machine can be so easily programmed to suite the wash that you require. Having previously owned (and loved) a Kleenmaid top loader washing machine, I was very excited to be selected to trial the new Eco Sensitive washing machine. The old Kleenmaid was reliable, easy to use and always gave a great wash. I wondered how the new machine would compare – I was not disappointed! The Eco Sensitive is again easy to use, and provides the added advantages of being able to customise the wash cycles depending on the wash need. There is the short 12 minute cycle, the versatile 60 minute / 60 deg C cycle and the cotton cycle. My clothes are emerging cleaner than they have in the old machine, without the need for soaking. The kids school shirts look like new with the grubby collars and cuffs white again! I am looking forward to finding out all the features of this machine over the next few weeks!

So I’ve been trialling the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive machine for about 2 weeks and during that time I’ve probably done about 14 loads of washing, and I’ve been using all of the different programs to work out what works for me and my family. Day to day the program I’m using the most is the 60 degrees for 60 minutes cycle. It’s quick and means I can get a couple of loads done in the evening, ready to hang out the next morning. I change the temperature to cold for my coloured washes, and love how you can change the temperature even when the cycle has started! My next load is going to be the dog bed and blanket- not sure if it has a special program (hand wash?). Watch this space!

My current machine spins to 1200 (?rpm I think it’s called!), which is fine in summer. But at this time of year and for the next 4-5 months I find I need to finish the washing off in the clothes dryer, as the shorter days and less sun means my clothes don’t completely dry. I’ve found that putting a load of washing in the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive with the 1400 spin option (which is the default spin speed) the clothes come out of the machine drier and they are completely drying on the line- so no double handling of washing, and I’m saving on my energy bill!

This machine is so quiet, I had to really listen to hear it! The allergy wash is particularly good as 2 of my kids suffer from allergies. This wash eliminates the nasties causing allergies. There 15 wash programs, every size and washing level is catered for. And it weighs your washing so it knows how much water to use, which saves water consumption. After using my 30 year old washing machine I was lucky enough to be in a position to purchase the new Eco Sensitive washing machine from Kleenmaid. I am so impressed the spin dry is amazing cuts the actual drying time for sure. To be able to choose between all the different wash settings/options is a real treat for me. I no longer run from my ugly laundry, it now looks amazing so modern and sleek.

I recently took advantage of the Kleenmaid offer of saving $1000 off a new Eco Sensitive, I am so glad I did. I love it after using a very old washer for the last 30 years. I especially love that my towels in particular don’t take as long to dry, the spin dry on this washer is amazing. Love all the different settings/options. My laundry is looking quite sexy, so sleek I don’t run from my laundry anymore.

Wow this is a great washing machine to Iove. The Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive Washing Machine is sensitive to all my washing needs. the 12 minute eco cycle is so great when you really need something washed in a hurry (like a forgotten choir shirt or gym gear that we have washed in a hurry).

Last night there was a need for sports clothes washed in a hurry – what a saviour to have the 12 minute cycle. Not even my old top loader had a cycle this quick, and the wash was fantastic. The clothes came out much dryer than they would have in the old machine, meaning they could dry overnight and be ready for the next day at school. Best of all – it was not me but my daughter wheo had to operate the machine having never operated it (or any other machine for that matter) as both myself and my husband were out. It is pleasing that the machine is so simple to use, but so effective in it’s wash.

I was always hesitant to buy a front loader, as I though, “I don’t have time to wait hours for a wash .. I’m a busy mum!”. Since moving out of home I have only ever owned 2 machines ( in 23 years). I owned a Kleenmaid that sadly died after 18 years, and would happily have purchased another, as it never missed a beat. Unfortunately Kleenmaid were not available in Australia at that time. I replaced it with another good quality top loader. My top loader cleaned the clothes well, and more importantly QUICKLY! Having trialled the Kleenmaid eco sensitive I am stunned to find that there is a 30 minute cycle which cleans better than my top loader! There is no residue of soap powder on my darks, due to the pre-mixing of the detergent, and the clothes come out less creased, making ironing easier! By not having a centre agitator, I am impressed by the amount of clothes I can fit in. Best of all, being a Kleenmaid machine, I am assured of its reliability long term.

Tomorrow is the sad day that I have to say goodbye to the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive Washing machine. When it was installed the guy installing said to me ” the lady before you didn’t want us to take it”. Now I fully understand why. This machine is quiet, gentle on your clothes but so effective in cleaning. It has a great range of programmes and is so versatile that you can tailor your wash to suit the stain level and the temperature. The times of the wash adjust to this so if the stain level is low than the wash time is reduced. This is one clever machine ( or maybe we can give the designers the credit). I would highly recommend this machine without hesitation.

So it’s that time of year when the doona change is happening. I would normally get my doona dry cleaned but seeing as its an 8kg machine i decided to give it a whirl. The doona fitted in well with space. I used a cotton cycle and sat back and awaited the results. My doona is beautifully clean and smells so fresh. Once again I’m really impressed with the results 🙂

My older sister has one of these washing machines and she has two little ones like me. She loves the child safety element on the machine and I admit I’m jealous as my kids try and fiddle around with our washing machine. After a weekend of sports us mothers can dread the cleaning of the sports wear especially if your the mum that has the 20 rugby shirts to wash ! Even the muddiest shirt was sparkling after the wash and the cycle only took one hour and twenty. Very effective on those tough stains

The dial and settings are so straight forward to use and select I even got my teenager to put on a load of washing. Also being that the display is digital its so easy to work out. Who would of thought a washing machine would spark a teenagers interest ! The hanging the washing out by the teenager was not executed as well as the wash though 😉

When you pull up in your driveway and you can smell your clean washing now that’s fresh ! I am using exactly the same powder and softener as usual but the clothes are just so much fresher. Even on the shortest of washes this is the case. I’m blown away by the effectiveness of this washing machine.

Getting ready for the return to school has started to kick in so this was a timely read. We have the yum box and i love it, it is so easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. I find the lunch cooler bags also a great idea however some days depending on what else needs to go to school, they can be quite bulky to include in the school bag. They can get grubby so fast, this would be so much easier to maintain

Great article! Our kids are so lucky, when it comes to lunchboxes, they really are spoilt for choice. There are so many to pick from. Regarding sandwiches, my eldest son, used to hate sandwiches for school lunches. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered that he’d throw out his sandwiches in the playground bins. My son’s an adult now and he still hates sandwiches. He only likes “hot” lunches. So glad he lives on his own now and can make his own “hot” lunches just the way he likes them.

Wow, lunch boxes have really come such a long way from when I was taking a lunch box to school. Feel old, like “back in my day”, but we were lucky to have options like are available now. While I like some of these designs, I feel like they aren’t super practical.
These lunchboxes are beautiful but are they really worth the expensive price tag? I have been through so many lunch boxes and bags over the years and found the best it to use an insulated lunchbox bag with ice brick and use small containers to keep individual items fresh and assessable.
I love the bbox lunch boxes. They are so reliable and tough when kids throw their bags around. Easy to wash and store. I have used the we can be tiny snackies at home too. The boys love choosing a certain animal shape. They wash well, are durable and great quality.
My kids are old enough now to pack their own lunches and I am so happy to see the great choices they are making. They take left over meals, cook food in the morning to take and now I am confident they aren’t throwing away sandwiches! I do have the chilly bags for them, I find they fit better into bags
My daughter uses a bento box now for work and sometimes an insulated bag in summer, but when she was at school it was a rectangular lunch box with no compartments. It was very easy to wash each day, just the box and lid, and it could still be filled with rolls/sandwiches and snacks.
Lunchboxes are so important these days. Back in my day it was a brown paper bag or the exact same lunch box that everyone else had and there were three compartments. Today its such a fashion statement and as much as the lunchbox itself is judged so are the contents.
I absolutely love the bb box quite sturdy. It took many lunch box to find one that would last. Before this lunch box we had a stuck on you. I found the stuck on you lunch box didn’t last when the hinge’s snapped they wouldn’t get back to me (only had for a short time and my youngest couldn’t open it so it wasn’t dropped. Just opened it after the 8th time and snapped). The bb box has lasted the last year and a half and still going strong
