As mums of babies and toddlers, nappies are a huge part of our lives.  And we all know that the quality of the nappies we are using can make a huge difference to every day!

Mamia® Supa Fit™ Nappies are ready when you’re not …

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKYrDmfaja8

We’re excited to announce the Mamia® nappies product review and that right now we have mums and their bubs putting them to the test.

Following extensive testing, ALDI has worked with its manufacturer to develop a world class premium quality unisex nappy. To provide parents with ongoing product improvement, and to deliver a nappy that meets world class standards, ALDI has introduced the Mamia® Supa Fit™ nappy. This nappy uses new technologies to provide a better fit and greater comfort, in a thinner nappy.

Some of the great new features of Mamia® nappies include:

Comfy Flex™

Soft and stretchy sides allow babies to move and stretch their bodies. The nappy fits snug and moves with your toddler, helping to keep a cosy fit and to stay leak proof on the go!

No more scratchy waist bands!

The stretch of the Mamia® nappy is now achieved at the sides with Comfy Flex™ stretchy sides. These elastic sides provide greater stretch than the previous waistband, while allowing your toddler the flexibility of greater movement without compromising fit, or irritating your toddler’s skin. And when secured correctly, Comfy Flex™ will ensure the rear waist is snug against your toddler’s back.

Discreet Triple Layer Core

Mamia’s triple layer core is thinner and more comfortable. This technology still has all the anti-leak characteristics, absorbency and ‘wet proof’ characteristics demanded by parents. So, thinner and better! Thinner product means less use of the world’s resources; from the raw materials used to produce a nappy, to those used to pack it!

Breathable

Mamia® Supa Fit™ nappies use state of the art materials that help your baby’s skin breathe by allowing air through the back and front panels without affecting the leakage performance of the nappy.

Find out more about Mamia® Supa Fit™ Nappies or look for them in all ALDI Supermarkets around Australia.

Mums are now reviewing Mamia® Nappies …

  • Nappy i definitely trust!

This is a nappy I definitely trust, have been using them for a while now and to be honest with you I am not going back to my old ones. Really happy with the quality and care that the nappies are made and definitely would give all the stars I can for this nappy. For anyone that hasn’t tried it, give it a go, nothing to lose and you might be surprised! – My Photo didn’t come through so doing it again 🙂

  • Mamia is my Number 1 nappy!

We use the walker ones at the moment and my twins a happy, they never have a problem with rash, redness, red marks, wetness, leakage. Its like a perfect nappy with a perfect price, not dear, quite cheap nappies and quality is awesome! Definitely recommend, already have purchased and will continue to purchase. Mamia is my number 1 nappy!

  • Cheap without sacrificing quality

Mamia nappies (Aldi) have worked beautifully on my little girl. We have used both these and thud Huggies brand (which is a lot more expensive) and I can not see any difference in the quality or performance of the nappies. If anything we have had less leakages when wearing the Mamia brand. The seals work perfectly, they are breathable and have never hindered my girls movement. These nappies are fantastic and I will keep buying them!

  • Awesome, Great, Super, Fantastic, Wonderful!

I would definitely recommend Mamia Nappies to anyone and everyone, they are fantastic and awesome and great for my 3 daughters so far.
I have purchased Mamia nappies over and over again and will continue to do so.
The quality I would rate is 5 stars, my honest opinion is that I think that Mamia is the best nappy, Huggies are great but I prefer Aldi nappies more. Mamia nappies are a great brand and will continue to buy them even if I have another child 🙂

  • My favourite Brand! :)

These nappies are my favourite brand, they are worth the money and affordable too. I think Aldi are as good as Huggies Brand and if not better. I used Huggies with my eldest daughter and starting using Aldi with her when she was older and have never looked back. My twin daughters I have used Aldi nappies right from birth and have never had any problems, leakages or tears. It is an awesome Nappy! GO ALDI!!!

  • Great value for money!

I use Mamia nappies almost exclusively with my 16 month old daughter and have done since she was a newborn. I will occasionally use a more expensive brand nappy (if they are on special) however I really cannot see much of a difference between the two brands aside from price.

I have heard from friends with sons that Mamia nappies aren’t as effective as gender specific nappies from other brands. However, speaking from experience – Mamia nappies are fantastic for girls of all ages!

  • Excellent value and quality

I have found these nappies to be of great quality and very good fit as well as a very good price. Compared to the more expensive brands I find this brand to be of better quality. Compared to the cheaper brands there is no comparison this brand beats them all in my opinion. They are also a very good fit and I never have leakage.

  • Affordable product and great quality

I really cannot fault the Mamia brand Aldi nappies. I have used these on my now 4 year old and 2 year old daughters. The 4 year old is now out of nappies but I also used the pull ups on her during toilet training. Both used the nappies overnight and would often wake up full but never had any leakage issues. I find these to be just as a good as any other brand out there but at a more affordable price. Would certainly recommend to others.

  • Great nappy, sticky tabs.

This nappy was wonderful except that it wasn’t as easy to use as other nappies. The tabs are very sticky which make it difficult for a quick and easy change. A lot of mess can be made in a short amount of time when dealing with the contents of a nappy, so this alone makes me not want to buy again unless they change the tabs and make them easier to use quickly.

  • Cheap but amazing!!

Being cheaper than the average nappies I had my doubts but they were amazing. I had absolutely no problems with them at all. It brought down my weekly shopping by heaps. Just because it’s not a “proper” brand doesn’t mean it’s not good or the best. Unfortunately my daughter out grew the nappy sizes and now I’ve had to buy a brand which fits her which is costing me a lot more money for less nappies. I recommend these nappies to everyone.

  • Cheaper doesn't mean worse

I have tried quite a number of different nappy brands for my son, including a couple of overseas brands when we were on holidays. Mamia nappies are cheaper than most other nappies, while the performance is comparable. However, my son is a tummy sleeper and Mamia nappies leak when used overnight (even when I buy one size bigger). Not a big deal, I use another brand solely for night sleeping and Mamia nappies at all other time .

  • was disappointed

After having my first son I pretty much cornered the market on trying every brand of nappy available at one point or another to see what worked best for us. We experienced leakage issues with a few brands and went on to trying these because a lot of mum friends recommended me. While the value for money was fantastic I was very disappointed. I experienced leakage issues and there was part of the nappy that seemed to trap my little ones winky when he moved so he always weed down his leg. I would not use again but I find for a mother with girls the same problem may not occur and they would suit well.

  • Great nappies for half the price

We have tried Huggies and Mamia and the quality is just as good or both. However with the Mamia being solo much cheaper it is hard to justify using Huggies. The only time we seem to have a leakage is when we go up a size, however we tried Huggies and Mamia and had the same problem. I would recommend Mamia nappies to anyone, our daughter hasn’t really had any nappy rash and we have mainly used Mamia and she is now 6 months.

  • Good nappy for price

These are good nappies for the price they are. I found I had to change my baby more often than other brands especially at night. I also think the newborn ones should have alertness indicator as it’s hard to tell if they are wet when you are new to everything baby!

  • Great value for money

Fantastic price. I use these during the day. Haven’t had any issues. Still prefer to use huggies at night as it seems to stay drier that bit longer. But definitely recommend

  • Good quality Diaper!!

I started using this product when my child was 2 yrs and after that it was one of the Diaper which was in my priority list, good value for money one,I used to buy the mamia sup fit walker one and it keeps the baby dry and absorbs the wetness and my child did not had any problem using it, The quality is good and cheaper than the regular bands which I buy, I recommended it for my friends and they buy it regularly, Good diaper and it last for longer as well. compare to other brands this is better one.

  • Great value for money

What excellent value for money! I get excited when I see that my local Aldi have boxes for the mamia nappies rather than the smaller packets. I was using the newborn size on my daughter and found they fitted her more comfortably around her chubby thighs than huggies newborns. I have no issues with the nappies, just a couple of poo explosions, byt that probably would have happened with other brands too. I highly recommend mamia nappies to all my friends and have even converted a few!

  • Absorbent and cheap

The mania nappies are great quality for price! I found them to be very absorbent and a great fit. No sagging at the behind like other cheap brands. My son also experienced gastro while using these and the leg gussets did the job I experienced no leakage at all. Overall I am very pleased with these nappies and the cheap price for quality well there is no arguing with that!

  • Don't compare

Thought I would give these a chance but they really aren’t that great in quality especially from the brand I currently use. If you have a tight budget then these will work just fine or if your child is in the process of toilet training and hardly using nappies this is an affordable way to go

  • Not so great....

I purchase Mamia nappies to give them a go, as for the price, who would complain, especially if they worked well. Unfortunately they didn’t work well for us. They caused nappy rash, didn’t fit right, leaked right through the actual nappy, and to touch – it certainly wouldn’t be something I would want on my bum let alone my children’s. This product was not for us, but I have had friends that have had no problems with them. I will be game to try them again in the future to see if they improve…

  • Switched from Huggies to Mamia

After hearing so many great things about the Aldi brand nappies I decided to give them a go on my toddler. they have great designs and feel nice and comfortable. We had no leaks or red marks and the sizing was quite good although I could probably go one size smaller as my son is a small build. These nappies are fantastic for the price and I have converted over from Huggies to these.

  • Cheap value nappies

If you are looking for a cheap nappy that is reasonably good quality then Aldi nappies are great. I tried the newborn ones and felt they didn’t last as long as other brands. A wetness indicator would be good to help out new parents. But in terms of getting value for money they are pretty good. It is hard to get them in Aldi as often sold out so that is also a negative.

Really happy with the Aldi Mamia nappies, good quality and does the job of the brand names at a fraction of the cost. The fun designs are an added bonus – my son likes them and I like that they’re Aussie animals that we go on to talk about.

  • Disappointing

I tried Mamia nappies as most of the Aldi products have been quite good. Unfortunately these were not for us. They didn’t fit my little one very well and leaked. They also gave her terrible terrible nappy rash that took quite some time to clear up. I have been scared to use them again.

I fondly remember slow, summer afternoons with family and friends gathered around a table of delicious finger-food during my childhood – the adults chatting and laughing, the kids pretending they understood the jokes. My parents had continued their Mediterranean traditions long after settling in Australia – and the simple joy of an effortlessly elegant gathering was one of my favourites.

What I don’t remember is my parents ever being stressed about the gatherings. It all just seemed to ‘come together’. Ah, how times have changed!

There’s something about the Italian style of entertaining that’s still so alluring in our fast-paced family lives. The idea of La Dolce Vita: a sweet life surrounded by family, friends, food and minimal fuss. Which is why we’ve enlisted the help of the entertaining experts at Sandhurst to share easy tips for elegant, memorable summer get-togethers.

We also asked our community of mums to share their tried and true, easy summer entertaining ideas, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

Euro-Inspired Entertaining

Sandhurst

Before we dive into the delicious world of sumptuous, simple summer entertaining, it helps to know a little about the inspiration behind our guide. And that’s the concept of Italian entertaining – where time is taken to lovingly grow ingredients, before enjoying them with those you love.

Established in 1988, Sandhurst was born from the time-honoured traditions of generations of the family behind the brand – a proud Italian Australian family passionate about quality produce sourced from world’s best growers.

At the helm of Sandhurst are brothers Mimmo and Ray Lubrano, who live and breathe the impeccable ingredients that become the centrepiece of so many gatherings in Australian family homes.

“Tradition is what we stand for. We’re custodians of Italian values,” explained Mimmo. “When we go to Italy we see it in our grandparents, our parents came from Italy in the 50s. The tradition is a set of values: honesty, teamwork, participation, family – all the things you would associate with Italian family are the values.”

And it’s these beautiful values that make summer gatherings in Australia an extension of the European table.

Easy Summer Entertaining Starts With … Time Saving Secrets!

Sandhurst

A sweet summer of entertaining doesn’t need to be stressful. In fact, it shouldn’t be. It’s a chance to spend time with loved ones. To press pause on life and make memories. And it can be simple! So here are some really easy tips for making your home the place where everyone wants to gather this summer.

Create An Entertaining Kit

Whether it’s pre-planned or you’ve had friends or family drop-in, having a few things ready to go immediately melts away any stress. Here are some things to include in a summer entertaining kit:

  • A red table cloth: It instantly says festive!
  • Some platters and serving dishes
  • Candles
  • Some quality antipasto ingredients that simply need to be decanted and enjoyed!

Many Hands Make Light Work

As mums, we tend to be our own worst enemy when it comes to delegating tasks. But remember, a summer of entertaining is about creating memories – not perfection. So let the kids help, and accept offers from your guests who’d like to bring something along to share.

“It can be overwhelming, so just delegate, and prepare. I do one dish prep per day and pop them in the freezer. Then they just need to be heated up. Let the kids do the decorating for you – plus keeps them busy!” – MoM Member Kirsty

Decorate With Happiness

There’s no need to pull out your finest crystal to pull off an elegant get together. Take a look around your home and garden to see what will bring your table to life. A bowl of lemons is a gorgeous addition, as is a bunch of gum leaves. Keep it simple and understated.

Sandhurst

Finger Food For The Win

Nothing says simple summer elegance more than a charcuterie board (or three!). When my friends and our families get together, it’s our go-to – every family is asked to ‘bring a board’. Some do savoury and some sweet, so we’re covered for a long afternoon of catching up.

“Food wise, I keep it simple by doing cold deli meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and veggies.” – MoM Member

But just because boards are easy to put together, doesn’t mean they can’t ooze elegance. And that comes down to including quality ingredients. Choosing Sandhurst products is the easiest way to guarantee the highest quality ends up on your table. We love the premise behind the brand: from our family to yours – it invokes that nostalgic feeling of shared stories, history, gatherings and family.

How To Put Together A Charcuterie Board

There are no right or wrong ways to create a charcuterie board, but to ensure a balance of textures and flavours try to include:

La Dolce Vita!

A summer of sophisticated entertaining doesn’t have to be hours and hours of work. We don’t want it to be! By grabbing some beautiful ingredients to fill your pantry next time you’re shopping, you’ll know that at a moment’s notice you’ll have everything you need for a Euro-inspired gathering. No fuss, but plenty of substance and style!

  • Charcuterie boards are the absolute best! We do these so often in the warmer months because there’s something for the whole family. People pick and choose what they like and there’s no complaints because there’s so many different options to choose from, everyone is happy. It’s such a simple stressful way to make dinner.

  • I absolutely adore finger food and this style of feeding people when we have family and friends at our home; or when we go out for a picnic, bbq or get together. These types of food are so easy to source and to buy and to prepare and to happily eat.

    • Yes I agree, finger foods are easy and yummie ! And you can assemble a healthy enough plate (certainly when you add salads, cheeses, nuts, fruits, boiled eggs, olives and rustic breads) that it can certainly can replace a meal (either lunch or dinner). Everyone happy and no hours of preparation in the kitchen 🙂

      • Also; the other bonus is less mess to clean up when cutlery is not needed. Finger food is the best for laid back and relaxed get togethers. There is always such a clam and relaxed feel to a finger food meal without the need for any fancy and stuffy table settings.

  • I absolutely adore an antipasto spread. There’s nothing better than having a colourful plate of charcuterie and antipasto shared with loved ones.
