  • Bought for my daughter, she LOVED it!

    My daughter is usually really REALLY fussy when it comes to her toothbrush. I mean REALLY fussy! She won’t let me brush her teeth, she has to be Miss Independent, and she will only use a specific type of brush. Normally, she would never dream of using an electric toothbrush, but for some reason, she gravitated toward this one in the store, and I thought, “Why not?” WELL! She LOVED it! She went from brushing her teeth twice per day, to brushing five times daily! She says it’s the most fun she’s ever had brushing her teeth. 😀 I love the fact that it’s a brand I trust, and that it is giving her the best start to dental hygiene possible while making brushing fun. I HIGHLY recommend this toothbrush, and just wish I could use one myself! 😉

  • Cleaning teeth is no longer a chore

  • Cleaner teeth - less fuss

    I love this product. Both my kids have been using the Philips Sonicare and the results are fantastic. The kids love how they can put their “touch” on the brush with the different stickers and the beeps that remind them to change sides/top-bottom. It’s no longer a chore to brush their teeth – the only fights now is who gets to go first. From a parents point of view – I’ve really noticed the difference in just how clean their teeth are. My 8yo daughter has several adult teeth crowding her little mouth so lots of cross overs etc, but this brush gets in there and her teeth have never looked cleaner or whiter. I’m loving it!!!

  • For parents of children with autism

    Two of my children that reviewed this fantastic toothbrush are severely autistic.

    They are incredibly sensitive and find brushing their teeth quite intrusive.

    Even with their sensory sensitivity they still enjoyed using the Philips Sonicare For Kids.

    The toothbrush does not produce an overbearing vibrating sensation.

    In fact it engaged and encouraged them to maintain their morning and night brushing routine.

    I ‘hand over hand’ brush with one of my children and I find that the slim design of the toothbrush along with the rubberised grip allows for ease of handling even in this circumstance.

    From using the Philips Sonicare For Kids it’s very obvious that a tremendous amount of thought and care has gone into its design.

  • Mother's Opinion- Thoroughly enjoyable as well as effective!

    As all the lucky parents who were selected for this wonderful review received three brush heads in total, I was able to trial it with all three of my little ones that fell within the 4+ age range!

    I need to build the foundation for healthy oral care habits with my children whilst they are young so that they have a better likelihood of maintaining good habits throughout their life.

    Philips Sonicare For Kids enables me to equip my children with the tools as well as the motivation they need to maintain a healthy daily routine.

    * Dentists recommend a brushing time of 2 minutes- my children aren’t too fussed about what dentists recommend, they do however enjoy brushing for two minutes until the toothbrush stops
    * The stickers don’t lift or peel when wet
    * The Philips Sonicare toothbrush is very easy to clean and maintain
    * Definitely removes more plaque even without toothpaste (especially for little ones who aren’t able to spit)
    * The stickers are easy to apply and any wrinkles that occur can be smoothed out with ease
    * Unlike other electric brushes it does not leave my hand tingling after or during use due to the vibrations
    * The Philips Sonicare For Kids encouraged and enabled independent brushing
    * The bristles on the brush head are perfectly soft and gentle for young children

    The Brush Busters app is almost like a game which encourages my little ones to compete against one another to see who can help their character to gain back all their teeth

  • Chanel's Review- Enables Independence!

    There is definitely a difference in the length of time that Chanel’s teeth stay ‘fur’ free throughout the day.

    The slender handle with rubber grip is absolutely perfect for the size of her hand.

    It’s well balanced as well as weighted, which means it’s not something that is going to tire a little 4 year olds arm before they reach the full 2 minutes of brushing time.

    In the same way that Chanel’s older brother Maxwell was fascinated by the way the Brush Busters App recognised when the Philips Sonicare For Kids toothbrush was switched on, she was very surprised to find that her character Vicky the Vampire from the app noticed when she switched off the toothbrush before finishing her time.

    I’ve found that by using the Philips Sonicare For Kids Chanel was able to gain more independence whilst brushing as well as achieving the full two minutes brushing time which I am extremely proud of.

  • Kingston's Review- Fabulous for fussy little ones!

    Kingston dislikes brushing his teeth to the point that it makes him quite distressed each and every time, even with a manual brush.

    Electric toothbrushes in particular bother him quite a bit as often the vibrating sensation can be overly strong.

    I was nervous about how he would react to the Philips Sonicare For Kids but at the same time I was willing to give anything a go as brushing Kingston’s teeth is often quite challenging.

    Not only did the Philips Sonicare For Kids NOT make Kingston anxious or upset, but it has enabled us to get a far better clean in the same amount of time.

    Kingston is still on the 1 minute setting, but he is happy to make the connection that when the buzzing stops it means he’s finished.

    The Philips Sonicare For Kids actually made Kingston smile! It has really pushed his brushing routine in a positive direction.

    I would say that the Philips Sonicare For Kids has completely changed Kingston’s perspective on brushing his teeth and it has made it a much more enjoyable experience.

  • Maxwell's Review- Even more awesome than the Philips Brush Busters App!

    Maxwell is seven years old and before being lucky enough to have been selected for this exciting review he did find the Philips Brush Busters App extremely engaging as well as motivating.

    The Philips Sonicare For Kids really did take his brushing routine, as well as results to the next level though.

    Maxwell was fascinated by the way his character Bjorn the Viking (on the app) was able to recognise what toothbrush he was using simply by switching it on.

    The stickers were a huge hit and Maxwell loved being able to choose his own sticker.

    The built in timer is a massive motivator in getting him to brush for the entire two minutes and even on mornings when we are in a rush the timer alone is enough encouragement for him to achieve the recommend time.

    Maxwell absolutely loves the Philips Sonicare For Kids and is now very consistent with his morning as well as night brushing routine.

    As I will be reviewing this product on three of my children I am going to allow them each to select some of the smaller stickers to decorate the toothbrush with as that way it makes it more personalised for each of them.

    I am really looking forward to this review as I can’t control what my children choose to eat and drink for the rest of their lives, however I can set them up for life with healthy brushing habits.

  • Happy happy happy

    So happy to be picked for this review. I have had so many problems with trying to get mr 9 to brush properly or at least regularly with so many tears & arguments that I was getting ready to give up. Happy to say that I no longer have to nag, plead, beg or bribe him to brush his teeth. He made it look like so much fun that miss 6 & mr 5 wanted in on the action. Those extra heads have been brilliant, now all 3 can use it without a hassle.

    Love the size- great for reaching all areas of the little ones mouths without them feeling the need to spew (mr 9s words)

    Philips Sonicare for kids is a great little toothbrush that the kids love to use. They have good teeth and Sonicare will keep them that way. It is fun to use and cleans better than a normal toothbrush. They have fun designs that kids love. It is easy to recharge and teaches them to brush independently.

    We absolutely love Philips Sonicare for kids to promote good teeth and healthy gums in our children. The kids just love their toothbrushes and we have bought them for their little cousins too. It’s easy to get them to brush properly and the dentist is very happy with their teeth.

    I have bought Sonicare for my two nieces and nephew for presents in the hope their teeth will be cavity free. They are having fun using them so that’s a good start to nice oral hygeine. My son loves his and even though he has great teeth and brushes regularly, having the Sonicare gives me piece of mind that his teeth are being looked after at home well.

  • Making brushing fun

    I bought my grandkids A Sonicare to leave here for when they have sleepovers, it was always a chore to get them to brush their teeth, now they have one at their house too-they have found it easy to use even the 1y/o giggles when she has her gums brushed.

  • Sonicare Teethcare

    I believe the Philips Sonicare does a better job cleaning teeth than by just brushing with an ordinary toothbrush. My son has great teeth and I want to keep them that way. Teeth need to last a lifetime so the expense of this product is minor if it takes better care of his teeth.

  • Philips for Pearly Whites

    My son has always loved getting his teeth brushed (Yes I know different from most). I wasn’t sure about getting this but I had heard it does clean teeth better and I believe it does. It is a bit of an expense but compared to possible dental charges I guess cost is minimal.

  • Avid brusher

    I bought this for my son to use as he can be very hard to get his teeth brushed at night. After using it once he now absolutely loves it. Unfortunately I had to buy another one because he then thought it would be fun to use it to ‘clean’ every surface haha but I told him this new one is only for his teeth 🙂 classic boys!

  • My daughter loves this tooth brush

    My daughter is loving this toothbrush. I didn’t get chosen to review it but I went out and brought it thinking it was probably going to be quite good, I am so surprised. It is excelent. My daughter happily brushes her own teeth and there is no argument about it. It does a great job and the dentist said her teeth are super clean. I love how gentle but thorough it is.   • Great tool to encourage teeth brushing

    I really loved the way this toothbrush added fun into a boring chore for my kids! Both my boys (aged 5 & 8) now have a Philips Sonicare toothbrush and both love the sensation of brushing their teeth with it. I love that both boys tooth brushes can be personalised to fit the individual child. I do think they are a bit expensive however as it is a good quality product I think of the money I’m saving on dental bills! Would definitely recommend it to other mums who struggle to encourage their children to brush their teeth! 

    My 4yr old would scream and cry everytime we had to brush his teeth due to a medical condition he has. Finding this toothbrush was an absolute godsend. He brushes his teeth without any tears or screaming since using the sonicare.

  • Love this product

    I love this product so much, looks great, easy to use! Quite expensive though for a tooth brush. I like mine but I don’t think I’d buy another one if it broke simply because of the cost. It does do a great job though and my dentist did comment on how my teeth had improved since my last visit. I think they need to make it more budget friendly. Overall a great product that I would recommend though

    this phillips electric toothbrush sure is a great product. the kids really don’t mind the vibration and like brushing their teeth. This makes brushing everyday a fun task and it really is easy to use the brush. the app helps them brush properly and it gives me piece of mind that the job is being done the right way. the brushing is timed as well so you don’t need to stress. the tooth brush comes with different types of stickers so your little ones are able to make the tooth brush special by customising it and making it theirs! i recommend this to anyone and my kids enjoy using it. the battery has a really long life to it and holds charge well.   • wow now i get a visiter

    My son is so happy I know it s not the toothbrush that did it but his tooth has been wobble for months now, and after brushing his teeth he came to me and said it is really wobble now.
    I touched it and out it fell.
    he was so excited because now the tooth fairy can collect a nice clear tooth. How sweet.

    One of my daughters is autistic and I am pleased to say she coped well with using this brush. It’s fun for her to use and it tickles she says. Great for her to learn to brush longer too.

Pack Smart, Not Big

Do you feel like you take waaayyy too much when you head to the beach or pool, and then you seem to forget a couple of key things that would have made life so much easier?

Our Mouths of Mums community swear by this fab list of essentials which should be in every mum’s beach kit, and

  • A plastic bag for wet towels and bathers
  • A dry bag for clothes
  • A bucket or basin to wash off sandy toys
  • A ‘clean zone’, sand-free blanket or mat for eating and changing
  • A pop-up tent for changing
  • Waterproof phone case
  • Talcum powder to get sticky, wet sand off little feet. Just pop it on and brush it off – it’s magic!
  • A hand-held car vac for quick sand cleanups!

Get Safety Sorted Before The Fun Starts

It’s pretty hard to get the kids’ attention once you’re at the beach or pool, so the safety talk should really start at home. Our mums recommend chatting to the kids about:

  • Swimming between the flags at the beach
  • Setting a meeting spot in case anyone gets separated
  • Sunscreen: Always apply sunscreen 20 minutes before heading outdoors. And set alarms to reapply every two hours throughout the day. Reapply immediately after swimming or using a towel.

  • Chopped fruit
  • Crackers
  • Boiled eggs
  • Drink bottles that have been frozen overnight

“We have a few allergies/intolerances, so being prepared with food is helpful and saves us the search and some money. I pre-chop carrots, cucumber, apples, boiled egg, in a handy separating container, a packet of chips, dip, and bring water bottles. If it’s a longer day planned at the beach I’ll bring lunch too.” – MoM Member

  • Some really good tips here! I had no idea about the talcum powder hack – who would have known! That is amazing and I will definitely try it next time we go to the beach! It is definitely worthwhile getting things ready the night before though, especially if you want to leave before midnight lol.
