  • Great sneaky veg

My son is a great eater but I sometimes have an issue getting him to eat veggies. He loves baked beans with toast for breakfast on weekends so when I found the sneaky veg baked beans I figured I’d give it a shot. For a child who fusses over veggies, he has no idea that they are in his beans because he eats every last drop. He loves them! Success!

  • My kids enjoy eating all vegetables so I don’t need to hide them in their food. But In saying that this is a great way to get children that straight up refuse to eat veggies to enjoy them. My kids love spc spaghetti and baked beans and the vegetables in it are just that little added extra.

  • SPC Sneaky Veg-Spa-a-Stralia is a firm favourite

SPC Sneaky Veg-Spag-a-Stralia has quickly become a firm favourite in our house. It has been requested and eaten and I will need to go to the grocery store to buy some more for the hungry tummies in this house. Delighted with this product and happy to have a food on hand that is healthy and enjoyed too!

  • SPC Sneaky and Nice!

After reading reviews on Mom’s by members; I decided to buy and try SPC Sneaky Veg-Spag-a-Stralia. I easily found it at my local grocery store and was happy with the price and bought a pack to trial. Everyone in the house had a bowl and the verdict is “yummy!” Delighted with this product.

  • Fun for kids!

The kids were all excited about trying something new. They loved the shapes, it was a real novelty. Meanwhile it took the pressure off me as I knew there was plenty of nutrition in the hidden veg. The taste was great also, well it must have been or my two year old would have thrown it on the floor! I’d definitely buy these again and recommend to my friends.

  • Hidden but not in name

My son thought the spaghetti was delicious and like the fact that it is easier to eat than spaghetti. He did however notice the large label when it arrived and was concerned about the sneaky veg. I think they could hide this on the label better with smaller writing. After being encouraged to eat it though he was happy with the taste and texture and said he would happily eat it again.

  • sneaky but tasty and delightful

I gave this to my daughter she had no idea what was hidden in it till I told her at the end after she had ate it all how she liked it. She said it was *yummy* so there you go parents its not just any spagetti its full of vegies too which are good for you

  • Great taste better than other tin pasta

My 2 little kids liked the taste and ate all of it. They are both very fussy eaters and won’t eat vegies. I know they are getting some vegies when they eat this pasta.

  • Overall great

My kids loved these products but they aren’t a subsist other for fresh fruit and vegies and I didn’t like the list of ingredients. However my kids enjoyed and it’s convenient as well as Aussie made and packed which is a bonus. I didn’t mind the taste either and I liked the can sizes. Another good doc product but I think they need to assess the ingredients when knowing the products will be served to kids and toddlers

  • Recommend!

Since swapping to SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable my kids haven’t picked up on any taste changes and happily eat this up.
I’m fortunate that my kids will eat their vegetables however, for parents who’s kids are fussy eaters, I can easily see how SPC Sneaky Veg could be a solution to their problems.
The lower salt and sugar content is definitely a bonus and I happily recommend SPC buying and using Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable.

  • Yum yum in the tum tum

My girls are 5,8 and 11. They are pretty good eaters. So I don’t really need to hide veggies in their food. However. I do like that this product is more nutritious then previously. I makes me more likely to give it to them knowing it has higher nutrient value than traditional canned spaghetti. I will be getting this again and would recommend other moms try it out.

  • This is what I buy

I happily purchase SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable on a regular basis for my kids.
Knowing that it is low in salt and sugar makes it my number one choice and of course the extra serving of vegetables doesn’t hurt!
Whilst I have no concerns with my kids getting their daily vegetable in take, I can certainly see how SPC with sneaky veg could be helpful for parents struggling with this issue.

  • sneaky yet delicious

As a mum of 5 i often struggle with the thought of “are they getting enough” wether it be veggies iron fruit etc.
I have a special needs child who kust simply does not eat veggies. If she spots 1 its all over red rover. I spotted these in woolworths and figured hey what have i got to lose? Well it turns out…nothing! She ate every single bit i dished up for her. I went to bed that night knowing she had a belly full of nutricious food (and even better was that she didnt even know it herself!)

  • Hidden veggies

Since making the swap from SPC regular spaghetti to SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable, my kids haven’t picked up on any notable changes between this and the regular SPC spaghetti. My kids consume plenty of fruit and veg already but its a bonus knowing that when we are having a slack dinner, ie spaghetti on toast, that they are still getting a serve of vegetables. I only wish that is came in the larger family friendly sized tins.

  • Performed better than i expected

my kids are notoriously picky eaters and dislike most things that come out of a can with the exception of baked beans so it was a great relief and surprise to see them happily tuck into a healthier than they expected toasted cheese and spag jaffel! This SPC product is a great option to have in the pantry suitable for a snack any time of the day or night!

  • Even mum loves these!

My littles love the baked beans and have them once every week or so for lunch. Makes life a lot easier when you can give your kids something that includes Veges that they will actually eat and enjoy! I’m not the biggest vege fan either so I often heat up my own tin and enjoy baked beans with them!

  • Quick, Delicious Definitly a WINNER!

SPC Spag-a-stralia was an absolute god sent! my son who is now going through a fussy stage absolutely LOVES this for a snack or even a meal. So quick to whip up & the sneaky veg is a bonus when he refuses to eat vegies that I put in front of him! this is now a staple in our house 🙂

  • Bigger Tins

For parents who struggle to get their kids to eat more vegetables, SPC sneaky veg is an ideal solution and I would recommend this product to them.
I’ve made the change from regular spaghetti to SPC sneaky veg and my kids haven’t said or noticed anything in the change, to them it’s normal everyday spaghetti.
Being lower in sugar and salt is a bonus and my only real criticism of SPC Sneaky Veg is that it is only sold in a snack pack of four and not larger family friendly size tins.

  • Great for a quick meal

My kids loved the pasta shapes that it comes in but weren’t great fans of the taste probably because they are used to having other brand names. Rich tasting flavour and filling for little ones. Great to have for a quick meal and low in salt and sugar is a fantastic added benifit.

  • Spaghetti of choice!

Fortunately, my kids enjoy eating fruit and veg so for me it’s not problem. However, for those parents who struggle to get their kids to vegetables, I can certainly see the appeal SPC Sneaky Veg.
As SPC Sneaky Veg is healthier and had less sugar and salt this is now the spaghetti I buy. My kids haven’t noticed or remarked on any changes.
SPC Sneaky Veg is my spaghetti my choice.

  • Great snack or meal for the kids & they love the taste!

I gave this to my 1 year old daughter for the first time tonight for dinner and she loved it. She almost finished the whole tin and what she didn’t eat my 3 year old polished off! It’s so easy to take anywhere as a meal for the kids and knowing they are getting that extra goodness of the hidden veg is even more appealing. I will definitely continue to purchase this item for my kids.

  • Absolutely delicious!

My 2 &1/2 year old is an extremely fussy eater. These spag australia cans are so easy to feed to him (he gets excited when i say he’s going to have spag australia). He says it’s ‘so delicious!’ I would highly recommend this range to other parents – ease and taste are the key to this being a winner!

  • Have made the swap

When buying spaghetti, I look to the SPC sneaky veg range, especially the SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable, as a healthier option compare to other brands.
My kids eat their veggies however, I think every extra serve is a good thing.
The kids haven’t even noticed that I’ve made the swap to SPC Sneaky Veg.

  • Not for this house

My son (2.5) loves canned spaghetti. Its a great quick option when we get home from therapy and its getting towards nap time and past lunch time. Ive tried these cans on a number of occasions and he wont eat them. I will try them again in a few months, as I love the additional veggies and low salt content.

  • Great option for fussy eaters!

I tried the “SPC Numberghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable” with my 3 kids and they enjoyed it, finding the numbers an interesting difference to the normal long strand spaghetti. They didn’t mention the taste being any different to the regular tinned spaghetti they’re used to, so no complaints means a winner here! Much rather them eat the one with hidden vegetables than the one without, so will buy again!

  • Winner with fussy toddlers

This was an all round win with the factory local to me also. This provided an easy meal option that ticked many health boxes for my toddlers and a way to get extra veg into them which is a constant struggle although i prefer my kids to know what they are eating and to learn to eat veges and know they are eating veges

Whether you’re a seasoned or first-time mum, protecting your baby’s delicate skin is right up there on the priorities list. Because when their skin is irritation-free, it really does make for a happier bub! Anyone who’s had to deal with nappy rash (me included!) knows it’s an inescapable mum truth.

Having skin irritation as an adult is super distracting and annoying. So just imagine what that’s like for our teeny babies and toddlers, who need to focus on sleep, eat and play. No wonder they can be so upset when they have nappy rash.

One thing you do need to ditch when it comes to nappy rash is mum guilt. It happens despite our best efforts. But it is helpful if you can get ahead of the game by doing as much as you can to try and prevent nappy rash in the first place.

We asked our hundreds of thousands of Mouths of Mums members for their tried-and-true, trusted nappy rash tips, and their responses came down to four key tips. So if you’re about to have your first baby, or your fifth, it’s worth popping on the kettle and reading through what’s helped other mums.

Fail-Safe Nappy Rash Tips From Mums

What we love about these tips is they’re perfect for mums and expecting mums, and they’re really simple to do. Everything from what to use and what to steer clear of, to helpful hints on caring for delicate baby skin.

1. Nappy Free Time

“As much free nappy time as possible. Lay baby on a blanket covered with a towel on the floor, without a nappy on, if possible in front of a warm sunny window.” – Joanne W.

We love nappy free time for newborn and toddlers (although it’s a lot harder to get them to stay in one place!). And while nappy free time is one of the most popular nappy rash tips among our mums, using the right nappy also plays a huge part in protecting against irritation on your baby’s skin. For example, Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants have clever Rapid-Dry™ Technology, which instantly absorbs for drier skin. And they’re perfect for day and night, with up to 12 hours of leakage protection.

2. Change Nappies Frequently

“For me, what worked on my two kids is not leaving them in soiled nappies too long. I definitely changed as soon as they were wet and let their skin air dry before placing a new nappy on. I would rather go through more nappies than have to deal with the uncomfortable rash they would feel.” – MoM Member

Frequent nappy changes are a fail-safe way to keep moisture, but it’s not always practical (babies just love to fill their nappies while you’re out and about!) Huggies Newborn Nappies are designed to help protect a baby’s delicate skin with a zinc-enriched layer*, clinically proven to help protect against skin irritation.

3. Use A Barrier Cream

“My mum put me onto Zinc and Caster Oil cream. It is FABULOUS stuff! It’s very thick and sticks like you know what to a blanket hehe I tried literally everything and this was the only stuff that helped.” – Trudes

Using a barrier cream was another really popular tip from our mums. But did you know that Huggies Newborn Nappies are the only nappy with a zinc enriched layer. The zinc oxide in Huggies Newborn Nappies is the same ingredient found in many nappy rash creams, which helps to protect against irritation with visibly less redness on skin. They’re also endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives and the number one choice in Australian hospitals.

4. Choose Gentle

“Don’t use scented wipes. Flannel and warm water is the best.” – Justine F

Using the most natural product possible for wiping a baby’s delicate skin to prevent irritation is a tip that’s been passed down from generation to generation – and it’s still a great one. But something lots of mums don’t consider that a nappy itself can help protect against skin irritation. Huggies Newborn Nappies are clinically proven* to help protect against skin irritation while Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants keep up with wriggly little ones while providing superior dryness, making them perfect for active toddlers.

Nappy Rash Myths & Facts

🚫 Myth: Nappy rash is only caused by wet nappies.
✅ Fact: It’s true that moisture does play a role in nappy rash, it can also be caused by moisture friction, bacteria, and even what the nappy is made from.

It’s why choosing a nappy that’s specifically designed for skin protection is really important.

🚫 Myth: Cloth nappies are better at preventing nappy rash than disposable nappies.
✅ Fact: When it comes to nappy rash, there’s not really any need to compare cloth and disposable nappies, because it’s all about keeping baby dry. The longer baby can stay dry, the better.

Huggies’ Rapid-Dry™ Technology absorbs wetness instantly, reducing irritation risk.

🚫 Myth: Nappy rash creams are the only way to protect against irritation.
✅ Fact: A good nappy with a zinc enriched layer can also help to protect against irritation.
