SPC understands that getting kids to eat their daily dose of vegetables can be a dinner table battleground for mums.
Helping to make life easier for mums and mealtime delicious for fussy kids, SPC has launched its new Sneaky Veg range of baked beans and spaghetti.

The SPC Sneaky Veg range is a source of protein and fibre and has the added benefits of being low in sugar, low in salt and 99% fat free. There are no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

SPC Baked Beans Rich Tomato with sneaky vegetable
SPC Spag-a-stralia Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable
SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable
SPC Numberghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable
SPC Sneaky Veg is available now at Coles, Woolworths or Metcash outlets, including IGA and Foodland. RRP is $4.29 for 4 x 220g pack.
My son is a great eater but I sometimes have an issue getting him to eat veggies. He loves baked beans with toast for breakfast on weekends so when I found the sneaky veg baked beans I figured I’d give it a shot. For a child who fusses over veggies, he has no idea that they are in his beans because he eats every last drop. He loves them! Success!

My kids enjoy eating all vegetables so I don’t need to hide them in their food. But In saying that this is a great way to get children that straight up refuse to eat veggies to enjoy them. My kids love spc spaghetti and baked beans and the vegetables in it are just that little added extra.

SPC Sneaky Veg-Spag-a-Stralia has quickly become a firm favourite in our house. It has been requested and eaten and I will need to go to the grocery store to buy some more for the hungry tummies in this house. Delighted with this product and happy to have a food on hand that is healthy and enjoyed too!

After reading reviews on Mom’s by members; I decided to buy and try SPC Sneaky Veg-Spag-a-Stralia. I easily found it at my local grocery store and was happy with the price and bought a pack to trial. Everyone in the house had a bowl and the verdict is “yummy!” Delighted with this product.

The kids were all excited about trying something new. They loved the shapes, it was a real novelty. Meanwhile it took the pressure off me as I knew there was plenty of nutrition in the hidden veg. The taste was great also, well it must have been or my two year old would have thrown it on the floor! I’d definitely buy these again and recommend to my friends.

My son thought the spaghetti was delicious and like the fact that it is easier to eat than spaghetti. He did however notice the large label when it arrived and was concerned about the sneaky veg. I think they could hide this on the label better with smaller writing. After being encouraged to eat it though he was happy with the taste and texture and said he would happily eat it again.

My 2 little kids liked the taste and ate all of it. They are both very fussy eaters and won’t eat vegies. I know they are getting some vegies when they eat this pasta.

SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable tastes the same as regular spaghetti, at least that’s what my kids reckon! They haven’t noticed any changes and happily eat it up, no problems at all. Good to know, that if I’m being a little slack and giving the kids spaghetti on toast for dinner, that they’re still getting a serve of vegetables.

The kids woofed down their SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable and didn’t notice anything different in regards to the taste. For parents who are trying to include more veg in their child’s diet this is a very sneaky product for them to use. My only real suggestion would to be to make the cans bigger, as my kids often eat the four pack in one go.

My son has forever been a fan of the SPC products so this was a stroke of brilliance on the part of the company. Hunter can still have the food he loves and now it has the added bonus of some veggies in it. He seemed to really enjoy the baked beans as always and I also found in quite enjoyed the taste. You’re onto a winner here, thanks SPC
I don’t know what it is about things that come in a can…but if it comes in a can my kids will love it …unless it comes out of a can still looking like it came out of the garden (i.e whole vegetables, fruit pieces, creamed corn that’s still yellow so it looks like – GASP – corn). But my kids loved this! Well most of them did…there’s still one that apparently doesn’t like red food…unless it’s ketchup or strawberries or lasagna, or any other number of red foods she’s forgotten she loves…but that’s by the by and not the fault of the food as much as the fault of a fussy appetite 😛
The other kids loved it, and I love feeling sneaky (sneaky in a good way, not sneaky like every night when I wait til the kids go to sleep to sneak some chocolate :P)
Loved the product. Definitely would recommend.

My kids eat SPC Spaghetti Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable and haven’t picked up on any change between this and the regular SPC spaghetti. My kids already eat plenty of fruit and veg but its nice knowing that when we are having a slack dinner, ie spaghetti on toast, that they are still getting a serve of vegetables. I only wish that is came in the larger 425 gram tins.

I bought SPC Spag-a-stralia Tomato and cheese with sneaky vegetable and my son LOVED it. He had no idea there were any vegetables in it. He was so taken with the Australian shape using his imagination of all the things the shapes might be. It was very entertaining. I would recommend to other mothers.

Our family loves this. The kids really enjoyed it and it was great that it had that extra bit of veg and fibre added without having to convince the kids to eat it on its own! Awesome addition to a great range.

Mixed reviews from my family ranging from 2-14. The 2 year old scoffed his down quickly, more than happy with the snack, and asking for more afterwards. The 3 year old was mostly happy, but found the chunks a little too surprising – she doens’t mind fruit chunks as a general rule but really enjoyed the puree so maybe the chunks were too much of a contrast.
The 14 year old ate half and fed the rest to her little brother. It was OK for her, but the puree put her off, and she is too far ingrained already to like the sugar in her products to take to this quickly.
**Definately start them early with no sugar, my little ones don’t even notice!**
I loved the concept of low sugar, and getting a full fruit serve into my kids – not that I have a problem there as my kids love fresh fruit! Also loved that I was able to buy them in a 3 pack, as we usually end up with leftovers or not enough to go around.

kids loved it and so did i My kids ate the SPC Spag-aS-Tralia with gusto as an afternoon snack, they said it tasted very similar to SPC Spaghetti Tomato & Cheese. They also had great fun naming the shapes and making a game out of who could find what shape, ie. find a boomarang, find a football, etc. which encouraged them to eat it. 10 out of 10 for me as I will be buying this product on my next shopping trip. Love that it is low on calories, salt and sugar as well.

When I became a mum I had no idea how hard it would be to feed my toddler food, let alone veggies. Whinging, throwing tantrums, screaming it is never ending! I was at my wits end and had to try something, I seen this and at first gave a giggle. Extra veggies, lol haha right o must be a marketing scam, reading the label and ingredients etc I became excited to try and give it a go! Toddler loved it! No screaming or fighting! I defiantly hold this product high because it does supply the veggies that my boy won’t eat! 🙂

My little boy absolutely loved this they tasted good and the dinosaur shapes were a big attraction. My little one could bearly taste the all the vegies and gobbled it all up in 5 minutes, he loved it. I also loved the low sugar and salt content, so healthy for the kids. I would defiantly recomend this to all mums with fussy eaters like mine.

SPC sneaky veg is a great idea for parents who struggle to get their kids to eat more vegetables. I like the fact that when we are having a lazy dinner of spaghetti on toast, my kids are still getting a serve of vegetables. The only thing I don’t like about the sneaky veg spaghetti is that it only comes in snack size tins which can get expensive compared to buying regular tins.

This product was so great my kids are very fussy eaters but loved the taste. It is very hard to get my kids to eat vegetables because they are so fussy but this was the answer to our problem. The packaging was also appealing to the kids because it said it had dinosaurs in it and my son just wanted to eat it straight away.

The kids loved it and so did the adults!! My kids love veges so it was more for my vegeophobe partner I wanted to trial it! And it worked not a single grumble!! It is now a weekly dish and has opened my partner up to trying other fresh vegetables dishes. Not all are a success but hey at least now he tries them!
My little man isnt the biggest veggie eater but he seems to really like these beans. He likes playing with them and seems to love the taste, the low salt and sugar made the sneaky veg (baked beans he doesnt seem so keen on the spaghetti) an amazing product for my son.
I definately do reccomend this product to any mum whos looking for a different way, at times messy way, to get their kids to eat their veggies

Mums Reveal Their Fail-Safe Nappy Rash Tips
Whether you’re a seasoned or first-time mum, protecting your baby’s delicate skin is right up there on the priorities list. Because when their skin is irritation-free, it really does make for a happier bub! Anyone who’s had to deal with nappy rash (me included!) knows it’s an inescapable mum truth.
Having skin irritation as an adult is super distracting and annoying. So just imagine what that’s like for our teeny babies and toddlers, who need to focus on sleep, eat and play. No wonder they can be so upset when they have nappy rash.
One thing you do need to ditch when it comes to nappy rash is mum guilt. It happens despite our best efforts. But it is helpful if you can get ahead of the game by doing as much as you can to try and prevent nappy rash in the first place.
We asked our hundreds of thousands of Mouths of Mums members for their tried-and-true, trusted nappy rash tips, and their responses came down to four key tips. So if you’re about to have your first baby, or your fifth, it’s worth popping on the kettle and reading through what’s helped other mums.
Fail-Safe Nappy Rash Tips From Mums
What we love about these tips is they’re perfect for mums and expecting mums, and they’re really simple to do. Everything from what to use and what to steer clear of, to helpful hints on caring for delicate baby skin.
1. Nappy Free Time
“As much free nappy time as possible. Lay baby on a blanket covered with a towel on the floor, without a nappy on, if possible in front of a warm sunny window.” – Joanne W.
We love nappy free time for newborn and toddlers (although it’s a lot harder to get them to stay in one place!). And while nappy free time is one of the most popular nappy rash tips among our mums, using the right nappy also plays a huge part in protecting against irritation on your baby’s skin. For example, Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants have clever Rapid-Dry™ Technology, which instantly absorbs for drier skin. And they’re perfect for day and night, with up to 12 hours of leakage protection.
2. Change Nappies Frequently
“For me, what worked on my two kids is not leaving them in soiled nappies too long. I definitely changed as soon as they were wet and let their skin air dry before placing a new nappy on. I would rather go through more nappies than have to deal with the uncomfortable rash they would feel.” – MoM Member
Frequent nappy changes are a fail-safe way to keep moisture, but it’s not always practical (babies just love to fill their nappies while you’re out and about!) Huggies Newborn Nappies are designed to help protect a baby’s delicate skin with a zinc-enriched layer*, clinically proven to help protect against skin irritation.
3. Use A Barrier Cream
“My mum put me onto Zinc and Caster Oil cream. It is FABULOUS stuff! It’s very thick and sticks like you know what to a blanket hehe I tried literally everything and this was the only stuff that helped.” – Trudes
Using a barrier cream was another really popular tip from our mums. But did you know that Huggies Newborn Nappies are the only nappy with a zinc enriched layer. The zinc oxide in Huggies Newborn Nappies is the same ingredient found in many nappy rash creams, which helps to protect against irritation with visibly less redness on skin. They’re also endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives and the number one choice in Australian hospitals.
4. Choose Gentle
“Don’t use scented wipes. Flannel and warm water is the best.” – Justine F
Using the most natural product possible for wiping a baby’s delicate skin to prevent irritation is a tip that’s been passed down from generation to generation – and it’s still a great one. But something lots of mums don’t consider that a nappy itself can help protect against skin irritation. Huggies Newborn Nappies are clinically proven* to help protect against skin irritation while Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants keep up with wriggly little ones while providing superior dryness, making them perfect for active toddlers.
Nappy Rash Myths & Facts
🚫 Myth: Nappy rash is only caused by wet nappies. ✅ Fact: It’s true that moisture does play a role in nappy rash, it can also be caused by moisture friction, bacteria, and even what the nappy is made from.
It’s why choosing a nappy that’s specifically designed for skin protection is really important.
🚫 Myth: Cloth nappies are better at preventing nappy rash than disposable nappies. ✅ Fact: When it comes to nappy rash, there’s not really any need to compare cloth and disposable nappies, because it’s all about keeping baby dry. The longer baby can stay dry, the better.
🚫 Myth: Nappy rash creams are the only way to protect against irritation. ✅ Fact: A good nappy with a zinc enriched layer can also help to protect against irritation.
