  • My son loves these weetbix!!

    My youngest is a picky eater but surprisingly now he walks to the pantry and points to get these weetbix down. Some days it’s just a dry weetbix in his hand and the other he he’ll have it in a bowl with some milk. Tastes good and I even tried it out.

    Many meltdowns in our house could have been completely avoided if we had managed to feed the threenager in time. You know what I’m talking about… one minute they’re happily playing, the next they’ve lost control. The first instinct is to try and fix the situation by asking what’s wrong. Why isn’t this working? Because they are HANGRY. A lovely mixture of hungry meets angry.     A perfect breakfast choice for the little and big ones alike! Filled with all the goodness that we mums just hope to get into those little tummies each and every day.   • Back to basics with Weetbix

    After searching high and low for many weeks for the Little Kids Essentials Weetbix I finally snagged a box at a supermarket half and hour from home.

    We weren’t much of cereal eaters until this summer where I needed to try a quick and easy breakfast to get us out of the house faster. My toddler is typical, can love something one day, have several helpings and then suddenly decide he’s never eating that again.

    As I opened the box last night to get prepared for the overnight Weetbix he grabbed one and started munching. A good sign! He helped me crumble a few bix into a bowl and scoop on the yoghurt. He loves yoghurt so I thought we’d start with the ‘overnight’ trend.

    We shared the Weetbix/yoghurt/fresh berries and then we had to make up another bowl just for him. He was big smiles while crumbling another bix and scooping in his yoghurt. We have also blended these Weetbix with smoothies when Mister Fussy Today didn’t want a meal for breakfast.

    We don’t have cereal every morning so I appreciate the smaller box and as it’s been years since I last bought Weetbix (I think it would have been about 2.5 years ago when bub started solids) and I was really surprised at all the Weetbix varieties available now.

    The Little Kids Essentials is a great choice for a healthier cereal for our precious little ones. 10/10 will buy again. If I could add two photos you’d see the big happy face but instead enjoy this picture of a spoonful being enjoyed!

    Our family loves the added benefits that weet-bix little kids has. My little mini me loves that she has her own cereal that’s just like mummy’s, but cuter (and I love that it has 5 benefits for healthy growing kids). My kids can’t taste the difference from the original, but love adding fruits for something different. As a special treat they like to add a little drizzle of honey. It’s so versatile as a breakfast, and also awesome how we can add the crumbs to our yogurt for and added crunch or mix it into our baking.

    Kids enjoyed eating it with fruit to give it natural sweetness. The biscuits are a little darker and don’t go soggy as quick as the original which makes them enjoyable longer. Love the added health benefits, definitely a bonus. Only downside is the price. It’s more expensive and smaller than the original which won’t last long when feeding the family

    It’s so hard to find cereal for kids (or even adults) that are low in sugar and salt and have a decent amount of other essential nutrients.   • I have been a purchaser of Sandhurst goods ever since they first appeared on supermarket shelves and still buy it to this day. The Sandhurst brand is the best without a doubt. This year I have not been able to find the Sandhurst cheese stuffed baby capsicums anywhere. I have tried to get on the Sandhurst site, but no luck with what they make. Help – these are such a wonderful addition to a salad.

  • I Love a good charcuterie board. I Love all the different options all on the one board. I love to do a chocolate board when we have guests over, it’s a fun way to do dessert after dinner. The kids love seeing everything layed out so they can pick and choose.

  • Charcuterie boards are the absolute best! We do these so often in the warmer months because there’s something for the whole family. People pick and choose what they like and there’s no complaints because there’s so many different options to choose from, everyone is happy. It’s such a simple stressful way to make dinner.

  • I absolutely adore finger food and this style of feeding people when we have family and friends at our home; or when we go out for a picnic, bbq or get together. These types of food are so easy to source and to buy and to prepare and to happily eat.

    • Yes I agree, finger foods are easy and yummie ! And you can assemble a healthy enough plate (certainly when you add salads, cheeses, nuts, fruits, boiled eggs, olives and rustic breads) that it can certainly can replace a meal (either lunch or dinner). Everyone happy and no hours of preparation in the kitchen :)

      • Also; the other bonus is less mess to clean up when cutlery is not needed. Finger food is the best for laid back and relaxed get togethers. There is always such a clam and relaxed feel to a finger food meal without the need for any fancy and stuffy table settings.

  • I love the looks of different finger foods. I don’t think it is hard to put something together and I had many afternoons hanging out with many mums and all the children at the Cul the sac we then lived. At times I had 8 mums coming with over 40 kids. Many sweet memories indeed
