We were looking forward to having friends over for lunch, and normally I would love spending time in the kitchen preparing the perfect meal. This particular weekend, though, life was a little crazy. The school year was nearly finished, and the two teachers in the house were pressed for time and stretched to our limits (and with bushfires on the doorstep, school days were decidedly different than they normally are anyway!). Our teenage kids would normally help out, but they were also busy with end of year excursions and activities. This time around, easy options had to win out!
I picked out a couple of Woolworths Deli salads to go with the meat for the bbq, and I was so glad I did. Regular deli salads can get a bit samey – all creamy mayo dressings and heavy contents. These were totally different! I was able to prep the salads in less than a minute, but the ingredients were all fresh and high quality. I particularly liked the Pumpkin and Grain salad, and the quantity was generous. If I needed to stretch it, I could have easily served this salad over a bed of baby spinach or mixed greens and fed even more people. The salads were a hit with everyone from the adults to the two year old!
I’d definitely pick these up again for an easy, high quality addition to a meal. A home made salad would have taken more time and effort, this was just as nice and allowed me to focus on our guests and enjoying some time to relax rather than spending time in the kitchen preparing a meal!

I love how convenient the salad kit is. It is perfect for a healthy dinner side dish and also tastes great. I also like how the fresh it tastes because the feta, seeds, and dressing is all packed separately. I am also quite picky with feta cheese and the one in the salad kit tasted really good. I love the individual wrapped sauces that keep the whole salad fresh and crisp. It’s great knowing they will stay super fresh till I serve them and know one will know the secret that are ready made, because they taste like home made. I had to fight the crowds to get to my salad kit section of the deli today, which meant other people already knew what I was about to find out. This salad kit was tasty, nutritious, filling and packed full of goodies!
I am dairy free so I excluded the fetta cheese from my salad but included it in my husbands portion which I found really handy. I don\\\’t think I\\\’ll need a snack this afternoon either because the freekeh has left me feeling so satiated!! I would definitely recommend this salad to people who like quick healthy salads for work as well as for dinner or parties.

I loved the look of these salads so much that I couldn’t choose just 1! The combination of the pasta or grains with the fresh salad ingredients, dressing and cheese makes it an all-in-one Salad that needs nothing added to it. The kits are a perfect accompaniment to a protein for dinner, or on its own as a special, easy lunch. They are especially great for hot summer nights when you don’t want to cooking with a hot oven.

So it was pizza night tonight and I was way too tired from work, so I didn’t cook and Rather I just bought 2 packs of saled kits.. one Greek salad and the other roasted pumpkin. My son loved it and had the two salads as his main.. haha. Yeah he preferred the salads over the pizzas. He enjoyed it and so I think this will be a perfect combination from now on and based on quality I Recommend trying this out.

simply love the Greek salad kit from Woolworths. All the salads are so fresh and so very easy to make. The salad is very tasty with a delicious dressing. The salads are reasonably priced and the quality is just simply great. They are quite famous, grab them quick. The quantity is adequate for one person but you can always increase the quantity by adding more stuff like feta and spinach. Recommend trying.

This salad, while costing $9, is big enough to share. It is ulta convenient and with the different ingredients separated it is easy to add less of any of them to suit individual taste. For example my daughter would have added less of the seeds but I would have not used the full dressing sachet and I loved the seeds. I particularly liked the pumpkin in the salad as it added a different flavour and layer of interest. The 4 * rating was also encouraging with respect to future purchases as it is healthy as well as looking healthy.

This salad makes bringing something to a bbq to share very convenient and healthy. Altho the fetta cheese, seeds and sauce were packed separately on another tray i am not sure if the veg and couscous could be separated too. The rocket salad was a little dam for my liking. Other than that the size to share for 4 was more than sufficient. Will try the other flavours when I have to bring a dish to share.

These salad kits are very convenient, but i do think that at $10 they are a little pricey, considering they are quite small. I tried the roast pumpkin and grains and it was nice, but not amazing. I’d like to try some of the other options.

The Woolworths salad kits are a great idea. I tried the roasted pumpkin and grains salad kit. It was very tasty but would have been better with a little bit more green leafy salad to mix in. I would probably buy it again if I needed something quick and easy to grab and take somewhere like a park lunch out as a side dish.

The flavours in this salad was amazing, I wanted to get a photo but the family attacked it too quickly. So the fact it went so quickly is a great sign given my family can be picky. Will be trying the other flavours next shopping trip.

As a vegetarian of 30+ years this salad was the best choice for me. It was very tasty but a little stodgy. According to the list of ingredients there was basil pesto which I could neither identify nor taste. The dressing, although nice did not really complement the salad. On my limited budget this is not a product I would buy again as it was much too expensive.

We tried the Spanish Style Pasta Salad with Chorizo, Red Onion & Fetta. Well … We can\’t speak highly enough of it! To say the taste was great is an understatement. We loved all the individual packs, and how fresh it was when made up. Looked lovely & tasted fabulous.

Not a salad flavor I would usually make and serve, it was easy to find in the supermarket. This salad was delicious, easy to assemble and has great flavors a hit with my guests, preparation was so simple and excellent for anyone who is time poor. Roasted Pumpkin and Grains Salads x 2 were the perfect lunch accompaniment to the Christmas lunch cold meats excesses used for a relaxing Boxing Day , easily prepared lunch for family and house guests. The salads were enjoyed by all. Healthy, nutritious and I loved the chunky roast pumpkin pieces. I made one salad using all the ingredients and the second salad without the addition of the balsamic glaze. I put the glaze in a small jug closeby for any person who chose to add their own glaze.
Roasted Pumpkin and Grains Salads was such a success that now I’m eager to try the other varieties.

Summer beach and pool days are core childhood memory creators, but getting the kids out the door, not so much! Pack Smart, Not Big
Do you feel like you take waaayyy too much when you head to the beach or pool, and then you seem to forget a couple of key things that would have made life so much easier?

Get Safety Sorted Before The Fun Starts
It’s pretty hard to get the kids’ attention once you’re at the beach or pool, so the safety talk should really start at home. Our mums recommend chatting to the kids about:
Swimming between the flags at the beach
Setting a meeting spot in case anyone gets separated
Sunscreen: Always apply sunscreen 20 minutes before heading outdoors. And set alarms to reapply every two hours throughout the day. Reapply immediately after swimming or using a towel.

“We have a few allergies/intolerances, so being prepared with food is helpful and saves us the search and some money. I pre-chop carrots, cucumber, apples, boiled egg, in a handy separating container, a packet of chips, dip, and bring water bottles. A chaos-free beach day. Yes please!
You don’t need a military-style plan to enjoy a sunny day out. A beach trolley, some prep, and an easy sunscreen like SmartMist™ are enough to help things run calmly – or at least calm-ish!
