Hello!

I do not dislike Folau.  By all accounts he is a good person.

Which of course makes it hard to know what to think?

Should he be fired from top, professional position, as a REPRESENTATIVE IN  THE AUSTRALIAN RUGBY TEAM….

I think……

Yes!

And an absolutely it is yes.

Because it is a privilege not a right of an individual to be in a top team.

Conduct off field, matters.

My opinion, is too damn gays to hell on a public forum benefits nobody.

It is unkind and the saying

”If you’ve got nothing nice to say, then say nothing.”

Stands true, here.

If you don’t like a certain person, say nothing.  If you believe a certain group is less worthy, say nothing.  If it is negative forwards another human being, yes you guessed it.  Zip it.

If you have something nice to say,

Spread The Words!

How nice that would be.

Because nobody benefits from negativity and that’s all Folau’s comments were.

Negative.

And a top player in a country, for that country, should have higher priorities and responsibilities.

Last I heard Jesus loved everybody.

And gay people have enough of a battle, being their authentic selves without a rugby player quoting so-called biblical messages.

I’ve yet to hear God say anything negative about living authentically and honestly.

Whatever happened to: you point out the sawdust in another’s eye yet you don’t see the log in your own.

I like these words from my readings.

  • so many mixed feelings about this …social media can be good and bad

  • I have no time for unkind behaviour.

  • Other media personalities have been fired for less so I agree. Personal comments of hatred are unacceptable by anyone especially someone in high profile positions.

  • This man has opportunities most don’t and with that comes responsibility. He has the ability to present his views and opinions to a wide audience and there is an onus on him to ensure he doesn’t abuse this.

  • I hadn’t heard the saying “You point out the sawdust in another’s eye yet you don’t see the log in your own.” Very wise. I too think it’s a case of “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. Something that needs to be done more often; no more bullying! I think Folau has endured enough. I hope he never makes such a comment again for the sake of it not being nice. He can have his opinion, just not be a bully about it.

    • Yes, I agree with you! He doesn’t have to be a bully about it.
Why are opinions so important to share with the masses, when it’s actually really upsetting for some who would read it.
      Who does that benefit, right?
And using religion to catapult your statement is just unnecessary and damaging. How is that Christian??

  • I really think people like this need to learn the difference between freedom of speech and consequences for what you say in public. Sack him. I’d bet he’s pushing the ‘don’t pander to minorities’ agenda and christians are a minority these days. So don’t pander to him on the basis of his faith.

  • I think it was wrong of him to say what he did! Yes, he is entitled to his own opinion, but being famous doesn’t give you the right to say it out loud, to post on social media for all to see and to expect that you can get away with it! And as for starting up a go-fund-me page to gain money for his legal fees – wtf!!

  • I don’t like him and I think when you are as famous and in such a position of influence like he is, then you need to be very careful of what you say

    Reply

  • Disgraceful what he said. One person in his position shouldn’t say that.

    • It is indeed a privilege to be in such a position and to be a role model.
