Shoppers Disappointed With Big W Toy Sale

Shoppers have shared their disappointment with the markdowns on offer as in this years Big W toy mania sale.

Turning to social media, some shoppers have voiced their unhappiness with the specials on offer, with one saying: ‘They call this a sale?!’

The discussion started after one shopped posted in Facebook group, ‘Anybody else disappointed in the Big W toy sale catalogue? Feel like there isn’t much of a saving like other years.’

‘The past couple of years have been better,’ said one.

Added another: ‘Yup, it’s terrible this year.’

Yet another agreed: ‘Better off at Kmart for some of the items even without the sale.’ Added one more: ‘Not much of a discount better of at Kmart more value for $$$.’

Others also said, ‘I agree I’m not happy but not only price but choice.’

‘Not much on there that I’d buy. I got that Jurassic Park Trex for $19 at Target the other day.’

i did buy a fisher price walker as a gift. got it at 50% off. pretty good for that one. but yes everything else was just about okay, compared to online prices.

I don’t know, I usually buy toys from the op shop, so any new toys on sale or not sent very appealing to me unless it’s something we really like! We did buy the Polly pocket retro 30th edition from big w during the toy sale.

I dont buy at shops or local anymore often. Because everything is so much cheaper online!

I agree the markdowns are getting smaller, I use to buy for my son when he was younger at every Big W toy sale, but last few years have not seen anything worthwhile, but then he only wants Lego. The Lego was not marked down enough, only a couple of the bigger sets had good markdowns.

I shop during the year at there regular specials and save more money

When I find a bargain I’m happy, but I’m really not going around searching and hunting for bargains and then be disappointed when I can’t find a bargain of my liking. I pay the price I’m happy to pay or otherwise I don’t buy. Simple.

Yes the prices are only like $10 saving but its great to have the long laybuy. Prices could have been a lot better but the longer laybuy makes it a lot easier for families at christmas time.
