Hello!

Wow, I just received a message via Facebook inviting me to celebrate my 10 year reunion. Surely it cannot have been 10 years since I left school? I feel quite panicked about going back and seeing the people I went to school with. I feel like I haven’t really accomplished much since I left school. I know I am married and have 2 beautiful babies, but I only just graduated uni and have only really had ‘for the time being’ jobs since I left school. But why do I feel the need to justify myself to people I haven’t seen in 10 years in the first place? Its like highschool all over again!!! Gah I think I might just skip it :(

  • 100% in the same boat except i have done literally nothing with myself (thats bow i felt!) Except have babies and get married… but i went and it was good… alot of the time i was asking others about their lives and glossed over my own lack of accomplishments UNTIL someone got started on talking about wanting kids (all the career focused ladies now getting clucky!) And i was envied and asked a million questions and gushed over my mummy stories and proud moments :)

  • bugger it! go for a laugh. other people are probably in your situation. you pretty much will just gravitate to the people that you used to hang out with in highschool anyway lol. these events aren’t really that big of a deal. everyone gets drunk, conversation flows, bragging ensues and you just have to make sure that you’re not the one who is acting like a drunken fool at the end of the night lol

  • Don’t sweat it. Why go if you’re not friends with one!

  • Did you go? Or did you skip it? I hope not sounds like you are very successful in what you have achieved in 10years.

  • I hope you didn’t skip it. I definitely felt like you before my 10 year reunion, but I went and found that everyone felt the same way. It was lovely catching up with everyone.
