I answered a MoM Answer recently and it struck me that I had a story to tell. So here’s how it goes …

I was in Bali last October for a break staying with a girlfriend who emigrated there 20 years ago. Shes my best friend and geography never hinders our friendship. As you know time or distance never changes anything with good friends …you just pick up where you last last left off.

I wanted to loose a few kilos and so did she, so she booked us into a Spa that specialised in Herbal Body Wraps for weight loss.

Cut a long story short …We get there, book in, fill in forms, get weighed and undress. She gets Katut and I have Wayan, common Balinese names in birth order regardless of gender. Wayan is first born and Ketut 4th …Straight off I want a Wayan, she may know more than Ketut … but too late.

We are now in the music playing incense burning room stark naked. We’re chatting and giggling like schoolgirls and in walk two lovely little imps with pots of hot herbs and it reminds me of a scene from The Hobbit.
