Today is a great day. I have offically lost 20 kgs in my weightloss journey. It hasn’t been easy..definately not. I started trying to lose weight in August last year after I had an asthma attack which led to having to give up breastfeeding of my son (who was 14 months at the time) and I was told by the Doctor that I really need to do something about my weight and that if I aimed to lose 20 kgs it would make a big difference to my health. So I have watched my calories, started walking, walking became slow jogging, then I had a set back (shint splints & sore hips), was told that I need to build some strength in my core (because I had lost a lot of strength when I was pregnant & after a c-section) but I didn’t give up. I kept going. I did my physio and kept working on my slow jogging and today I celebrate having lost 20 kgs and I also ran for 10kms this morning! I am very proud of myself and I wanted to share. It has been a long journey but it has been worth it. I encourage all mums out there who want to lose weight to start making small changes and work towards your goals every day. You will soon achieve them and you feel great!
