What a wonderful way to start my day. I received a truly lovely sms message from my father-in-law wishing me a very happy birthday….only thing is my birthday isn’t today. But bless his heart, my father-in-law is doing his best to keep up and embrace technology and has set reminders on his phone for birthdays and anniversaries. The funny thing is his sister-in-law and I have the same name and the reminder was for her birthday. I let him know so he could catch up with the right person, and we laughed together and it helped make an otherwise stressful morning (getting the kids to get ready quickly for school) a happy time.

What a great father in law, my father never remembers our kids birthdays, let alone mine and my birthday is the same day as his. How can he forget when we are on the same day!

  If you are fortunate enough to have a sweet dad/father in law; then cherish them.
