Hello!

I’m having a major panic about , my up & coming trip to asia. (for 2 reasons). Master 2 has a dairy allergy, so I’m freaking out about what food I’m going to be able to buy over there & even on the plane. Automatically the airline have listed him for a vegan meal. How awful does that sound for a kid. Any food that I take on the plane (although fully sealed), has the potential of being opened by customs etc. Suitcase will be filled with cans etc of food that he can eat over there. He’s also in the full swing of terrible 2’s & that includes ?night terrors. Screaming at bedtime & waking with the same many times overnight. I’ve been letting him know that I’m in the room. It’s the only way he will settle. So staying in a small hotel room is going to be a nightmare. Time for some tough love & ‘control crying’. I have to try & break the back of this quickly !!! Does anyone have any suggestions ?????

  • I had a similar food problem when we went to NZ. I took food for our first meal as I knew we were landing late and it would be difficult to organise something suitable for the child that can’t have dairy. Of course that meal was confiscated as soon as we landed, even though I’d checked the requirements and thought I met them.
If you’re going to Asia, you will probably find that they don’t use dairy nearly as much as here and you may not have any problems avoiding it. All the best, especially with the sleep problem.

    • I agree that in Asia dairy probably won’t be used as muched.
