Hello!

I am blessed to currently have one biological son, two stepsons and a beautiful baby girl due in April.
Everyone who has tried to feel the baby kicking hasn’t been able to, my husband, my mum and my eldest stepson have tried but to no avail, when they have put their hand on my tummy (because she has been kicking), all of a sudden she stops… little bugger. My youngest stepson hasn’t had an opportunity yet to try and feel kicks but my son has. On two occasions now he has put his hands on my belly & felt her, one time she gave him six strong kicks… he feels so special to be the only one so far… I was really worried the boys weren’t going to bond with their sister because she is technically a half sister to them all. Nothing to worry about… such beautiful love for her by them already. I just have to survive the physical and mental health issues/pain (thank goodness it is only 14 weeks to go and really such a short part of a lifetime).

  • There won’t be any issues from my side, my stepsons Mum side of things but my son’s father I am not so sure…
Had a number of issues with him already…

  • I don’t think being half siblings will have any impact unless you or other people make a big deal of it.

  • Thankyou Ladies.
I most certainly treasure all of my children. This pregnancy has been particularly hard due to Perinatal Depression and Pelvic Instability, so to have the love I do in my household is very special.

  • I don’t think it matters whether they are full or half siblings, I think their bond is still the same and it comes down to how you bring them up. Judging by the love you say they already have for their sister you have done a great job in loving them equally regardless of their biological relationship.

    • yeah they will gravitate to each other so don’t worry about that!

  • Sounds like you have a fantastic loving family – your baby girl will be smothered in love by all. It’s surprising how well children take to caring for tiny babies.

    • It is actually so precious and wonderful to watch older siblings caring for little ones.
