Spent a great many hours last weekend at an amazing playground called Oddies Creek Playspace in Albury (http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/country-nsw/albury-area/albury/attractions/oddies-creek-playspace). Every town should have something like this. I wish the Government would save all that money continually poured into brochures about childhood obesity and the like, and simply make more amazing playgrounds instead. I mean, with enormous flying foxes among other things, kids will spend entire days at playgrounds and off the electronics. Planning to lobby my council to update our very basic local playspace something more exciting (currently there is a small climbing frame, slippery dip, spinning thing and balance thing…very basic). I can’t tell you how pleasant this playground was for parents, and to see my two boys non-stop running around having a ball for at least three hours each day we went there. And they wanted to stay, and to go back later again. Well done Albury council on this, if only other councils would follow suit.
